I'm also planning to buy an NMT and leaning towards a Mede8er. Should I buy a model which supports 3D video files even if I will be using it on a non 3D HDTV? Is 1TB HDD enough or I should just get 2TB instead. Torn between mede8er 450x2s/600x3D/800x3D. Thanks po.

If you have the budget go for the 800x3D for future proofing if you're planning to upgrade your display to 3D in the future... If you don't plan to upgrade to 3D then the 450x2s will be ok.
As for the HDD size... The bigger the better, more movies to store

Thanks for the replies. Just for comparison, I also plan to use at least YouTube streaming. What's the pros and cons of med450x2s compared to Mygica 520E and WD TV?

med450x2s

Pro: With local HDD, best for local playback of files.
Con: Least powerful CPU. Maybe sluggish in navigating Youtube.

Mygica 520E

Pro: More powerful CPU, lots of RAM, Android apps, better at streaming from Youtube.
Con: No built-in HDD. You have to attach an external HDD thru USB.

However, If you are considering Mygica 520E, you should also consider the Measy B4A Pro 4K Android media player. It has an even more powerful CPU. It is similar to the Minix X8-H media player but priced like the med450x2s. It does not have a built-in hard drive.

Yes, automatically downloaded. I don't really care much about these things, so I never did anything to set it up. Lumalabas na lang.

Finally pulled the trigger on this baby. Had some time testing YouTube by pairing it to my smartphone and used YouTube TV. Very responsive and loving it. Just waiting for my WD 3TB on Monday to test media files especially movies.

pwedeng automatic, pwedeng manual yung cover art and info sa wdtv. sa settings pwede ka mamili. yung latest firmware ng wdtv sobrang bagal nga lang. mas ok pa na huwag i-update sa latest firmware.
