What about old model MARANTZ CD63 MKII and CD42?

Meron pa ako stock ng CD 63 MKII 1 pc. 8k pesos at MARANTZ CD42 7k pesos.

Wow NOS talaga tong CD42. It was quite a popular player two decades ago, when Marantz was known for luscious mids and rich lows.

which one to take, a marantz CD5004 player  or a universal disc player(say marantz UD5005 -BD, DVD,SACD, CD) does the dedicated CD gives a better SQ than than Universal DP? tia

Dedicated CDPs normally work better for CDDA playback. Of course, a universal player opens up more possibilities.

thank you sir stagea, the marantz UD5005 is priced at S$535 and the marantz CD6004 at S$485,(as per sir edwin)...considering that the prices of the two gears are almost at the same price range, at sana, di masyadong magkalayo in terms of SQ, mas ok na ba ang UD5005? has anybody tried to compare these two gears? or any UDP vs CDP? thanks

I once ask you guys before if where/whom to bring my sacd for possible cleaning/repair cause it doesn't read/play anymore. Dahil nga bakasyon, umandar ang aking lakas ng loob sa pagkalikot...binuksan, hinipan ng kaunti, punas punas, powered, to my amazed, umandar, nagbasa, play...ayos...tried different cds, ok naman lahat..pinabayaan ko syang naka play, after an hour or so, check it up, error na. Could it be because uminit na? Dinama ko ang dalawang big caps, yung isa may slight na init. May heatsink sa malapit ng caps. Sa palagay ko maayos at malinis ang laser head. Palimigin ko muna and will test again...

Recently acquired a cd5001, unfortunately it doesn't have any remote control.

Where can I find/buy a dedicated rc for my marantz?  Also, any Marantz service center here in NCR?
