3D NMT vs. regular NMT
« on: Jan 10, 2015 at 10:05 AM »
Hello! I want to get clarification on the difference between a 3D and a regular NMT as far as playing downloaded 3d content is concerned (.mp4 or .mkv file formats). Here's my current setup:

egreat 31b non-3d nmt
marantz sr5007 with 3d pass-through
epson 5200 3d projector

I can play 3d content using this setup. Is there any advantage in upgrading to a 3d nmt besides having the capability to play 3d bd isos?

thanks in advance for your inputs

I think thats the only advantage of a 3D capable NMT...
Being able to play 3D iso, BDMV, Full Frame Packed/MVC files. If you are only playing side-by-side and top-and-bottom 3D files, non-3D nmt will be ok as long as your display is 3D capable.
But based from reviews, 3D iso, bdmv and full frame packed files have better quality / 3D depth.
