congrats sa mga new hakot chief! :) :)

Panalo bossing!

C O N G R A T S!

Nice ! and very practical. Ayos yan Sir.

Gusto ko approach nyo sir, practical but really efficient. Congrats sir!

Salamat mga bros at na-appreciate nyo ang DIY music/AV setup ko.  ;D ;D Aside from my setup being practical, you cannot buy the enjoyment of DIYing and the fulfillment of accomplishing something with your own hand the idea your mind created.  ;D ;D

All in all, i spent less than Php 6,000 with this endeavor.

Next project ko this Saturday: DIY sofa cover para mas maging presentable naman  :D The materials are already part of the Php 6,000  ;D ;D

Nice transformation... Congrats sir...!

What's the new X-over configuration ?

Originally, the single 8 ohms 12" woofer was wired directly (no dividing network in between) to the binding post and the tweeter with just a capacitor (forgot the value) in between. In the new setup, I still hooked directly the woofers to the binding post (I like it this way, no sound colorization), except that the two 8 ohms 12" woofers are wired parallel reconfiguring the impedance of the speaker to become 4 ohms.  The speakers are now wired to my tube amp's 8 ohms outputs to be safe.

So, the 2 woofer are configured as full range and only the tweeter on high pass x-over. Just wondering sir, how the paralleled woofers (4ohms) back to 8ohms.

I'm not an electronics expert sir. I just read that speakers with lower impedance are safer when connected to the higher impedance output of the tube amp (it is the reverse when it comes to integrated amp). Yun din ang sabi ng friend ko na band guitarist. Speakers nya ay 4 ohms to 8 ohms output of his tube guitar amplifier.

So, my tube fisher int. amp (rated 8-16ohms) can take the vintage philips 4ohms 3way speakers w/o any problem...

Thanks for the info sir...
