Thanks sir Jojo for the reply.
So now what is the main benefit of adding a mixer in a karaoke system? I understand purpose of mixer is to control / manage multiple sound sources (eg musical instruments, mics). Tama po ba?
IMHO, some of the advantages I experienced were:
1. I can use more than two mics.
2. I can vary/control the tonal quality of each mic independently.
3. Obviously, I can use whatever brand of mic I have laying around. Branded or unbranded.
4. The onboard echo effects of videoke players are, well, just that. Echo echo echo echo....
5. I can vary the amount of dfx per mic too.
6. I can vary the levels of each mic independently as well as the minus one from the player.
7. As I mentioned on my other reply, a gate/compressor can be used for the music and limiters for the mics via send/return connection.
8. Pan. A versatile feature wherein you can play the music on one channel and the voices on another. I've tried this and it's fun but there needs to be a monitor speaker directly in front of the singer so that the singer can hear the minus one directly.
And many many more. Sakit na daliri ko mag type.
