medyo same boat pala tayo.. hehe..

Upscale ng Samsung, from 1080 to 4K, simply BEAUTIFUL,
you'll see the detail and sharpness of images and colors,...
Would not look back when you go 4K panel,..

Sir abc is right, given the right 1080p/blu-ray content, kitang-kita yung details. Even the strand of hair is defined. Ganun ka-clear.

Ayon sa mga nabasa ko 4k is large format kaya sa TV ultra hd lang which 4x full hd tama ba?

Samsung daw soft panel VA while LG use hard panel IPS

actually hindi 4k kinatatakutan ko.. more of yung accessories/plugs/cables.. natakot ako maskip siya.. tulay ng hdvd ba yun ng toshiba na hindi na tumuloy...
natakot ako sa hdmi2.0 htpc kasi target ko... mga pc ngayon medyo special specs to be able to do 60hz 4k...

nice tv btw 78hu9000.. hehe

Yes, most "4k" TVs run a UHD resolution.

UHD Samsungs run PSA panels for the most part (one of the VA derivatives). LG uses IPS at this point, unless you're looking at OLED models.

Forget panel rigidity and look more into image quality, usability, reliability and support.

That is one MAJOR thing that I considered sa pagpili ko, the after market support,...

Image quality, well, I must admit, Samsung's images are really BRIGHT, to the point of straining your eyes,
sadly, my family wanted that, they want something na very attention getter talaga sa linaw and liwanag,
though the image really are very crisp and clear...

After a marathon of movies on this panel, paglabas ko ng bahay ay para akong BAT na silaw na silaw sa liwanag ,... hehehehe

I did wrote an email to Samsung USA, complaining about my experience on the 78 curve, I told them everything that I noticed and observed, in which grabe talaga ang GLARE pag curve ang panel, they did responded with my complain, coz I even bothered the Office of the President, I told them bakit ba kako sukat gamitan ng GLOSSY panel ang mga 4K TV nila ngayon, unlike the older 1080P panels, (though I already know the answer na iba ang ibinibigay na linaw ng mga GLOSSY finish sa mga images) Samsung asked for an apology etc etc, and they told me that they forwarded my letter to South Korea, on my letter ang sinabi ko, seems your CURVE panels aren't designed well for the common room of an american home, coz the slightest light inside the room would somehow reflect back on the panel and somehow bounces oddly on it, mukha kakong pabibilin pa ako ng bagong bahay ng TV na ito para lang maaccommodate ko sya,...

I paid extra for an extended warranty on my UN75JU7100, I took the 5 years extended warranty on it, the first year would be under Samsung and the next 4 years would be on Best Buy, the good thing on both them is that nasubukan ko na ang after market support nila, I remember my 55" LED na pag inaupdate ang firmware ay nagiging saturated ang color and images, and dahil walang revert back feature, Samsung ended up sending me motherboards para maibalik sa factory setting, I did it for 3-4 times, and for 3-4 times, Best Buy would come out to replace that board, no charge, kaya hindi ako lumipat ng brand and shop,...

Well according sa agent. Samsung use soft panels because they give brighter images with low power consumption vs LG hard panels that needs powerful back lights to compensate

Im eyeing on this model

60UF670T = P69,499 any comments?

Natawa ako at sabi ko na hintayin muna namin ang comment ni misis, knowing my wife, hindi nya mapapnsin ang kung ano man sa TV kasi, with that in mind, I was actually willing to live with the glare, then the next morning, my wife woke up quite early, sinabayan ko na at nag-gayak na ako ng coffee then turned on the TV, VOILA,..! Bakit daw ganun ang itsura ng TV sabi ni misis, kahit saan daw sya lumugar ay may reflection syang nakikita, natawa ako at sinabi ko sa kanya na sya lang hinihintay ko talaga na magbigay ng comment, then I explained her na sablay talaga ang design ng panel lalo kung may windows and lights sa living area. My was is not that techie, ni hindi nya napapansin ang kung anong pagbabago sa mga system ko, yet she noticed this one, meaning, it is that bad,...

Send me your email bro, I'll send you some pictures para makita mo kung ano ang sinasabi kong glare, and no matter where you position yourself, you'll see na may problem talaga ang mga bagong glossy panel, well, sa curve...

Hehe :D

The glare wasn't worth it for a $1000 more, kaya mas pinili ko ang flat, may wow factor ang curve panel simply because, well its a curve, but with all the disadvantages na nakita ko, it just doesn't justify the $1000 na idadagdag ko sa kanya, I'd go with the curve if semi-gloss ang panel nya, nakakairitang nakikita kasi ang bright reflection na nakakalat sa panel... But again, its about preference... ^-^

We are very happy with the UN75JU7100,

Have you tried tweaking the image settings of the uf850t? After some tweaks, I am okay with its scaling. The default image settings don't suit me too much. The only real issues I have with this model would be panel contrast ratio (because it's IPS) and some motion interpolation issues (when there is a lot of action).

At first...
My friend was really disappointed..
Yong hd channel ng skycable nagmukhang sd...

Then he told me he do couple of tweaks like tru motion.
OptimiZed the expert 1, changed to warm2 etc.

My currrent tv Lg2013 model 47la7400 and very satisfied.
Malayo ang picture quality when watching 1080p sa 65uf850t at stock settings

What do you mean by looking SD? Soft edges and lack of detail?

Sd - standard definition.
Its a skycable term....

I know what it means. But looking SD means losing the sharp image and details afforded by the higher resolution of HD material.

1080i and 1080p are of the same pixel count (spatial resolution), interlaced scan lang yung 1080i. You should only be able to tell them apart if there is motion on the image. Most TVs deinterlace the content before displaying it, and some processors do this better than others.

sorry, missed the point...

sd as in cloudy ang 1080i na lumabas sa upscale..
maybe because hindi sya talaga na upscale, (as in nadagdagan ang pixel count)
since 1080i noth much to be upscaled

parang nahila lang in a very high resolution kaya naging parang standard definition na lang..

medyo sanay kasi ako sa LG,maybe its time to change brand...

He can start with isf Expert 1 and play with the image settings. What is essential however is to enable LED Local Dimming to compensate for the unimpressive panel contrast.

Also make sure that he has a recent firmware version, as the earlier ones caused image quality issues.
