At this point, with no free agents willing to sign with them, the Lakers wont need to intentionally tank. They will lose regardless coz of their lack of talent. Only this time, it will be tougher to keep the pick as it is only top 3 protected.

Oh well...might as well see the young guys gain experience.

The Lakers are bottoming out. Just how bad is it as a free agent destination? Robin Lopez would rather accept joining the Knicks more as a secondary priority dependent upon Deandre Jordan's decision than to sign outright with the Lakers.

Yes, there is clearly a power struggle between the siblings but good news is they are on the 2nd year of the 3yr rebuilding plan with Jimbo at the helm. He promised to step down if his masterplan doesnt go well. They will surely suck this year unless for whatever reason Aldridge decide to sign with them which is highly unlikely. So 1yr more & he is out, no Kobe+no Jimbo=good times for the Lakerland

There are rumors of the Lakers taking on Hibbert or Nene or David Lee in a salary dump.

If true, I'd prefer Nene first and then Hibbert. No to David Lee since he is a PF.

Still no SF though. Baka si wesley na naman.

Personally, I'd have been happy if the Lakers went after Tyson Chandler or Robin Lopez and then DeMar Caroll. But the FO always wants to get the big free agents even if the recent years have shown that the preference of free agents is to go to a team that will contend regardless of location.

I read about fhat. Hindi yata rumor yun but a suggested scenario by writers if the Lakers fail to sign any free agents. They suggest the Lakers explore this alternate avenue.
