This is a good article on nba players that backout from their verbal agreements.

I think the reason why it was ok for them to let go of Hibbert was because they drafted Myles Turner. Turner is a good shooting Center, and has led the NCAA in blocks last season. He can spread the floor better and has better offensive moves than Hibbert. Losing David West may affect them though, but at this stage of his career, aside from his leadership, I don't think he can bring much to the table anymore. The Pacers still have Scola at PF which I think can still provide juice at that position.

I also forgot, Indiana got Monta Ellis.

THE DECISION 2015-2016

BREAKING: "After opting out of his final year with the Cavs, LeBron will be heading to San Antonio to join an already loaded squad. The Cavaliers have agreed on a sign-and-trade deal that will send James to San Antonio for guard Patty Mills, forward Matt Bonner, and San Antonio's first round draft pick for the 2016-2017 draft. James will join newcomers LaMarcus Aldridge and David West in San Antonio, along with returning veterans Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, and Manu Ginobili in what is said to be their final year."

Tatawa-tawa siguro Lakers ngayon cause they got Hibbert (vs Mavs).

At least he should have the decency to tell Cubes na di na siya tutuloy sa deal nila. Eh apprently he did not even answer calls from Cubes. Unprofessional sobra. Time to blow up the Mavs team and tank hard. Get Ben Simmons.

The Pacers still have Scola at PF which I think can still provide juice at that position.

I also forgot, Indiana got Monta Ellis.
Part na ng "We the North" si Scola. He signed with the Raptors yesterday.

Oo nga noh? Anyway, the reports on Turner is encouraging. Might be time for Indiana to play small ball and have Paul George at PF.

Yep, agile big man yan si Turner. Maganda pinakita simula ng college season nya kaso medjo nagdip performance at some point. Pero maganda jan is that very intent on playing defense. Problema lang is that very raw pa. Should become a good player if the Pacers develop him well.

PG is already 6'10" na yata. Pwede nang PF. I read before na from 6'8" when he got drafted eh tumangkad pa siya lalo. Pero SF pa din best position nya.

_______

Anyway, a lot has been said about Deandre. Even the NBA players assoc has weighed in and unsurprisingly, favorable kay Deandre (CP3 is the NBAPA president afterall.hahaha!). Kesyo gawain daw ng agent yun.wtf. eh di nga sinasagot ni Deandre tawag ng agent nya so how would the agent know what to tell Cuban. If I know, malamang si Rivers pa nagsabi to ignore the calls.

Hope the Clippers never reaches the WCF.

Was looking at the thread ng Pacers, and option nila for PF/C is a Filipino. Si Andray Blatche!! Wahaha!  ;D

I doubt if Paul George could play again at the level he was playing before he got that awful injury. Malamang hinay hinay na lang maglaro yan. Sayang din.

it's more of mental rather than physical sa case ni PG. if he has the mental capacity, he can play again at the same level. kung ACL/MCL yung injury yan sigurado di na siya makakalaro tulad nung dati niya.

Agree ako kay leomarley. Mental na lang yan kay George. Fracture naman yun sakanya e. The bone gets stronger lalo once it heals from fracture dba. And I'm sure he is taking sufficient nutrients to strengthen his bone lalo. I think with the right mindset, he will be back in top form soon.

The Mavs gave a bonus to Wes Matthews for not doing a DeAndre Jordan: $70M/4 years from originally $57M/4 years. And he's coming off a torn Achilles. Daming pera :)

The Lakers have also officially signed their three new laterals. Hibbert also waived his trade kicker to make the deal work. So this means Nick Young won't have to be traded :)

$70M to Matthews and coming from an achilles injury...quite a gamble.  Medyo mahirapan Mavs after being successful sa era ni Dirk.

From the reports I read the deal was $57M/4yrs if Deandre Jordan signs with the Mavs & $70M/4yrs if he doesn't, it was a pre-arranged agreement.

^Thanks for the correction sir. Akala ko the Mavs were confident that Jordan would keep his word, and are now being generous and grateful to Matthews -  or naniniguro na :)

The Mavs should just tank now and let Chandler Parsons & Wesley Matthews rest the first few months of the season, both are coming from major injuries.

For Laker fans, here is a short clip of our Summer League team:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqLiRBJBvoQ

Clarkson and Randle looked really good. Seeing Larry Nance play, even if it's just a scrimmage, will make you realize why Lakers reached for him at 27. high motor+athleticism.

D'angelo didn't do much in this video. But hopefully he shows some of that court vision tomorrow. He looks gassed which is understandable since he hasn't played any b-ball prior to Summer League practices after AZ sent OSU packing in the NCAA tournament.

Okafor doesn't look good after 3 games so far.

2nd game now that he has cost his team a win with a late turnover in the final 10 seconds! He seems to have sweaty hands and buckles easy under pressure.

Worst is he's only shooting 44% from FG and just 31% FT's. And he's the only legit center playing.

The guys all guarding him are undersized PF's:

Mickey - 6'8, 230 lbs
Lalane - 6'9, 240 lbs
Cooley - 6'9, 240 lbs

Whoa. I want him to fail? I was merely stating what I observed. I want the kid to flourish regardless of what team he plays for. I'm a basketball fan first before a Lakers fan. I enjoy watching basketball. If anything, nanghihinayang ako so far sa nakikita ko kay Okafor kasi alam kong mas magaling pa siya sa pinapakita nya. He has all the tools to succeed.

How is it sourgraping though? I like watching the top picks play. It just so happens na Sixers yung napapanood ko while I have downtime. I've also watched the Magic, Jazz and Pistons.

And yes, I know it's summer league and it won't mean it will translate to NBA play, but how is my post "sourgraping"
