Si Russell appears very tentative. And i think because of his first 2 games being not so good, he tried to play deliberate but it got him into more trouble.

I still think he will become better, so let's see.

Lahat sila did not do good today. Even Nance was prone to errors.

This is what I felt while watching the game earlier- na wala pa din future yung Lakers. It was terrible. Lalo yung first quarter. I think Lakers managed to score only 5 points. They were building bricks early on and that may have threw off their rhythm, if they had any to begin with.

But it's just summer league and the rookies are still learning the system. Hopefully training camp will help them adjust somehow. If not, well, we are bound to be bottom-dwellers again.

Emmanuel Mudiay plays like not a 19 yr old. Seems NBA ready, plays under control and full of confidence unlike Russel. Mukang jackpot ang Nuggets for picking him at no. 7.

what is up with him? why does he have to go coast to coast? always play face up and dribble nonstop? can't he just post up and play his back to the basket like a big man should.

Oo nga. Randle needs to calm down. I remember a player saying he doesn't have to go 100mph 100% of the time. He played better once he picks his spot when using speed and it made him a better player. Si Tony Parker yata and Pop told him so.

The thing is, he isnt really much of a post up guy. His play style in Kentucky was different from his play style in high school. Calipari tasked him to be a banger inside instead of being a point forward like he was in highschool. Ngayon, may free reign siya to showcase his full skillset. Yun nga lang, kelangan pa ng polish since his college year did not really help him improve those skills.

Besides, he lacks length to fire up hookshots without getting blocked. Kaya nga when he is in the paint, you will notice that he will give a few up fakes in order to throw off his defender.

Lastly, I read that the Lakers coaching staff is actually encouraging him to bring the ball up if he gets the rebound.

i guess it would be best for him not to bring the ball up since his dribbling is very erratic and prone to TO. imo he should be practiced more to play in the post and play like a big. heck even barkley is smaller than him.

so you think he will be the starter? or brandon bass?

Aaahhh Barkley! Such a unique player. I believe we have never seen another player that resembles Sir Charles both in stature and game.

The closest one probably, during his hornets days, was gran' mama Larry J. was an undersized power forward that had shooting and hops. Although, I think he evolved his game to be more of a spot up shooter 3 when he was with the Knicks.

Whew. Sir Charles. Yeah, Barkley was around 6'5"/6'6" lang yata but iirc, he had long arms plus he was very athletic in his younger years. In contrast, Randle has really short arms for a PF. People compare him to Zbo but Zbo has a 7'4"/ 7'5" wingspan. Randle only has a 6'11" wing span. Brandon Bass has a 7'2" wingspan.

During the game against Sixers last Sunday, Byron was interviewed. He said that he would like Randle to be the starter but he would let Bass and Randle slug it out in training camp.

Barkley was actually just around 6'4" A 2 inch difference might be negligible. But standing beside MJ, if you notice the neck/shoulder area, MJ stands a tad taller.

This is the most awesome and useless piece of NBA trivia I've heard in a long while ....... World Chubby Day siguro yung June 26.

Seriously, the odds (including his health/conditioning) are against Deron resurrecting his career ...... but if there's a time to do it, it's definitely now.

Most expect the MAVS to be a lottery team this year, if Deron can channel some of his early years and somehow make the playoffs and beat old rival CP3 and the CLIPS ....... parang nanalo ulit nang championship itong si Mark Cuban.
