off night lang Curry

maybe, maybe not. imo both curry and thompson got neutralized by the defense of the spurs. whether it was an off night or fatigued or what.

1-for-12 for Curry and 1-for-7 for Thompson on the 3 point line. pero kahit na ganun ang performance nung dalawa, dikit pa din yung laban which tells a lot about GSW as a team. malalim din but they rely talaga sa splash brothers.

ngayon, the teams that GSW will be facing next have an idea how to neutralize them pero thats only one part of it, dapat may mga similar players din sila tulad ng sa Spurs that can keep up to finish.

masaya din ako with this win by the Spurs since nanalo ako sa pusta ng 1pc chicken joy. lol

Anyway I made it clear na LBJ fan ako. I'm still a Heat fan because of Coach Spo.

Did I looked down on those people?

^Yeah, I read your posts.

You make a lot posts whining about of about the notion of bandwagon fans/fans switching teams..

Tapos ikaw din pala lipat-bahay din.

You're the last person who should be talking trash about "biglaang fans" of a certain team. Biglaang fans ka rin, bro.

Baka nga lahat tayo maging fans na  ng 76ers when they draft Bol Bol in 2019.

Basketball is still a big man's game. Defense still wins championships. Curry is good. He becomes great when the defense (the lack thereof) allows him to be.

There are many accounts that highlight the big improvement in Curry's defense.  Just see how many passes he deflects, and steals he makes in a game (2.0 Stls, ranked 5th).

Dubs is going to win it all this year.  I also think Dubs will break SAS home streak on April 10.

^^But taller doesn't correlate to better defense in today's NBA.

Some of the teams with huge frontcourts have the worst defenses in the league (Kings, Lakers, Suns, 76ers, Wolves).

In contrast, the Warriors' best froncourt player is 6'5  but they ranked top in the league in d last year and top 5 this year.

Curry isn't great because he takes advantage of bad or even smaller defenses. He's great because his skills stretches defenses to their breaking point. His "gravity" creates open spaces for his teammates and he even opens up opportunities for himself. He's not only the greatest shooter ever but also also scores in the paint with the % of a big man.

Here's a good article about Curry's improvement on D -http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/12648764/how-stephen-curry-developed-top-flight-defender

^Just because today's big men don't want to play (or know how to play) defense doesn't mean basketball isn't for big guys anymore.

Curry is very accurate from afar, but not as accurate as a big man in the paint. Shooting from way beyond the line is showboating. He gets away with it because he's accurate than most and his guard don't play enough defense.

You don't know what you're talking about.

Curry is top 5 in fg% in the paint as of february

I didnt say that basketball isnt for big men anymore, im saying that the analogy from your initial statement is uninformed.

and its not even true that todays big men dont play defense anymore, some of them are rendered ineffective because modern playing styles require more defensive versatility (switching, hedging) from bigs.

Oh, yung stats?

Don't get me wrong though. I like Curry. And I'm happy with what's happening with him right now (except that contract. He deserves max). Just seeing things in a different light.

Of course you're not impressed. It doesn't support your narrative.

Oh, Steph's a monster in the paint now? Well let him switch from beyond the arc to the paint then.

I-advice mo kay Steve Kerr. Baka makinig sa yo. "He's ruining the game, Steve!"

It's not merely narrative. It's supported by stats

I wasn't the one who pettily suggested switch Steph inside the arc because all of my assertions were proven false.

Oh do you know Curry is really a "monster" in the paint....he shoots 57% there.  And for a small guy...that's huge indeed.
