before the pics, here's my not-so-technical-review, this is my first real pj so pasensya na. also, actually, the review in projector central is pretty spot on and i can only very much agree with it:
A really good buy i must say and yes, better value for money than a 65" tv unless sobrang liwanag ng room - it is still a 1400 lumen LED projector so safe to say around 1200 siguro talga ang effective lumens. For a dedicated HT that's not so big, I think this will rock. Color is vibrant after a few tweaks here and there - i did turn off the sport mode - I use plasma tv because aside from the color depth, I hate the tele-novela look in common LED tv's
the size and weight? it is as big as a loaf of bread - hindi yung malaking/mahabang loaf ng gardenia ha, yung maliit lang. And it is really light at 3 lbs. I tested mounting it using CCTV mount - kayang kaya. Pero since wala pa screen sa bahay, for now nakapatong lang.
it has built-in speaker - I'm also into speakers so the sound is meh to me - but that's to be expected anyway.
connectivity naman, 2 hdmi is enough for my purpose - there's smart tv platform that i dont really care about. There's optical out and 3.5mm jack outs for audio.
the remote is kind of fun though not the best. it acts like a mouse on the screen, using motion, accelerometer or gyro - not sure.
picture quality is really good - but don't expect high end like pitch black level - it's not noticeable for me however so I'm happy.
there's a couple of non-deal breaker cons aside from the expected low lumen throughput sa tingin ko, the max 1.1 zoom may not work for some room setup - and walang lens offset - so kelngan mo galawin mismo yung height if ever na may allowance ka from top ng screen. my living room setup will be about 110 inches and i have flexiblity sa height placement, so ok lang ako. This pj can go as wide as 120 inches with enough distance - so yeah, pwedeng pwede sa dedicated HT.
final verdict ko? well i am recommending it right? and for the price, if you can get hold of one even at SRP - go get it! if yung korean version na may 3D pa or discounted pa na price, don't walk, run out and buy one if you are in the market anyway for a low maintenance entry-mid level pj!
boss LouPah, binitbit ko sya galing US eh, so i just paid for the price in Amazon plus tax. I am really interested however dun sa korean version dahil may 3D capability daw yun. Wala lang talga akong kaclose from korea.. baka meron kayong kakilala dun?
