boss, sorry to threadjack pero me konting tanong lang po:

1.  Me mga nakikita akong 100V at 110V na amps.  Is it ok to use a 110V stepdown transformer for a 100V rated amplifier?
2.  Paano mo malalaman ang tamang wattage na kailangan mong stepdown transformer if hindi available ung usage ng amp?  Some old school amps are rated 50 watts x 2 @ 8 ohms, 100V.  Is it safe to use 100 watts step down transformer?  or there's a rule of thumb to use the next higher tier, e.g., 125 watts instead of 100 watts?

Thanks in advance.

Alam ko okay kasi I do that. hehe! may mga built-in tolerances ang mga gears natin. Actually nga, if you measure your outlet, baka magulat ka sa voltage. Hehe! And then imagine your plugging your gears sa outlet na yun.

i will use a 500 watt step down traffo at least for that amp....output power ratings do not reflect power consumption of the amp....

1)Since most of AVR's and stepdown X-former nowadays have an option for 100v & 110v, pag MIJ amp mo eh di sa 100v na lang, pag U.S made naman no choice, sa 110v mo nalang i-plug kasi wala naman tayong 120v. dito :)

Way back din during Pier days, tinitingnan nila yung power consumption at dun nila ibine-base yung gagamitin na power transformer at ang nakapagtataka pati "price"
