Bitin lahat ng suggestion nila, mag 18" ka na lang!  >:D

Should be DUAL SUB both ported.
3rd sub should be sealed for mid-bass  >:D

Dual-Double 18" ka na agad sir para di talaga bitin! Plus dual sealed sub na din. Or sundin mo nalang lahat ng nababasa mo dito para di magsisi >:D

Your stature does not mean that you are a better person than anyone else less $$$ wealthier than you

Audi lang ng audi at find the best subs that will satisfy your fantasy. One piece of advise... SVS brand for subs and you will never go wrong. The only upgrade you will dream about after SVS, is another SVS.

Another good thing about SVS is never mananakaw. Dahil sobrang bigat. Lalo na yung TOTL. Pang macho lang. 75 kilos.

hello experts here... so because most recommended SVS im already considering it until someone told me - how loud will i be playing it? if i cant maximize it then better get a cheaper option.  of course i also thought of quality on lower volume and im assuming it delivers too.

that cheaper options are yet to be determined. and while reading this thread again didn't notice Anthony Audio dual sub... any reviews on that?

i personally auditioned anthony audio dual subwoofer (the one with 12 inches woofer size)at makati cinema square. this is not an entry level subwoofer. We tested it with music first, sounds ok. then we further tested it with the movie Transformer.since the movie is quite familiar to me, some scenes create better sound effects including the deeper sound on bass scenes of the movie as compared to a normal subwoofer. this subwoofer has excellent build quality, produces earthshaking subsonic deep bass especially in movies, best for medium to large size room. if you have small room, you can get the anthony audio dual 10 inches subwoofer or a single downfiring sub.

As to the dual subwoofer 12 inches, it has a dual subwoofer-one front firing and one downfiring, i think it has the same design and concept with the M&K subwoofer X series(just my opinion though) but available in the US at US$2,000-3000. anyway, sir anthony if you dont know is likewise producing proac clone speakers before and recently the JBL everest type, hehe.

it looks like imported subwoofer considering that it has shiny piano black and looks beautiful(higher wife approval factor). if you are more adventurous and not after "branded" products produced abroad and shipped here in the phils, then this one is for you.

and it will not cost you an arm and leg. i think it has only a price tag of P17k pesos cash price. high quality at an affordable price, you can spend your excess fund to other audio gears you still need to buy. the only drawback i think is that the controls are placed at the back. though almost all subwoofers' controls are placed at the back.i prefer the controls in front or on top for convenience.

this is just my opinion though, better audition it yourself. :)

Important talaga proper room for that real theater experience. The cheapest and effective I can think of even in lower volumes(pang condo, small rooms, etc... sealed sub and tactile transducers/bass shakers! Di nakakabulahaw pero ramdam mo bass!  ;)

my soon to be sub will be placed half meter away from the left side of the wall, may cabinet dun so basically few inches away, right side of that.

hopefully i can audition today yun mga di ko pa na try... na curious ako sa anthony audio na dual sub. yun svs perhaps last to audition since QC area naman and besides super highly recommended.

curious lang, may naka ayaw na ba sa SVS? wala atang may ayaw neto :) pero im putting it as my top choice - blind audition.

ok finally made the jump - svs pb1000 it is.

after auditioning several wharfedales, missions, polks, anthony audio - indeed svs delivers. fund well spent

honestly i wasn't able to audition this. i just relied on the feedback and thought of selling it if i dont like it which happens to be favored by many.

assuming it wasn't able to get one, probably ended up with anthony's dual 10" sub or velodyne impact 10.

thanks for the help. on to the tuning part!

@ninjababez® - tnx pards. perfectly fits underneath, the one i showed you on my phone. :-) if it was velodyne, it will be protruded couple of inches.

@zram18 - yup, i think i made the right choice.

on the next stuff - making the LR unite with the sub then surround :)

^ set the sub gain knob into the maximum volume without clipping or any audible distortion. Then you can adjust the volume from your AVR from there. This way, it will be easier to tone down your sub using your remote.

Congrats on the sub btw! ;)

Ano bang AVR mo? Normally cut off, you can find in avr settings. Lagay mo sa 80hz. Yung sa sub cutoff, turn to max settings.

Set mo sa "Small" lahat ng speaker mo sa spkr configuration ng avr. Set Cross over to 80hz.

wala ako ibang lugar except underneath left or right speaker. :(

naka pinpoint AM41/wall-mounted bookshelf ako due to limited space.
