Ask ko lang po kung yung mga commercially available na AC-DC Inverter/Charger ay pwedeng mag charge ng kahit anong type ng battery like Li-Poly, NiCad, etc.?

Meron naman sir talaga. Kaya ko lang naitanong, kasi kailangan ko din ng AC-DC inverter. Para dual purpose na din at isang gastos na lang. Charger and DC power supply in one.

A big NO sir! Especially with Lipos, ingat lang diyan sir for it requires a special cc/cv charger.

Since yan ang mga batts mo, I strongly suggest you get a smart charger like this one.



That's what I use to charge my lipos...





This can charge any battery, LiPo, LiFE, NMH, NiCAD, SLA, heck I even used it to charge a car battery...

It also has a preset for storage charge of Lipo batts if you are going to store them for a long period of time.

I made a parallel charging board with xt60 sockets, kaya niya apat na lipo batts sabay-sabay. Sawa na sa flight time tukayo.

Anyway, the answer is no for lipo, yes for nicad. Since you have a "dedicated" lipo charger then just charge your lipos there.

As for your nicad batts, yes you can use those converter/charger na nabibili sa mga stores, you just need a little Math to calculate the number of charging hours.

Also it's converter not inverter but you already corrected that in your last post.

Charging time = batt mah / charger milliamps

Example if you buy a 1A (that's 1000mA) converter/charger and use it for a 9.6V 2400mAh;

2400mAh / 1000mA = 2.4 hours or 144 minutes. Tip: Use a cellphone as timer.

Theoretically the batts must be in a discharged state otherwise they may heat up considerably but that's completely normal.

You're welcome. Yes sir it is an ATX PC PSU but instead of outputting 12V I modified it to shell out about 17V to maximize the charging capabilities of my B6 charger. I usually charge 4 pieces of 2800mAh Lipo so I need about 12Amps to maintain 1C charge for 1 hour. Otherwise it will take ages to finish the charge, eh pag lipad na lipad ka na ng drone nakakainip maghintay sa battery.
