Replacement Audyssey mic
« on: Jan 27, 2016 at 07:31 AM »
I might  >:D  purchase a used AVR, sadly it does not have the remote and the mic. I can control the AVR via android, so that should not be a problem. My real problem is the calibration MIC, Where can I purchase this and are they all the same or each mic is designed for each brand/model ? How much do these cost as I need to add this to the total cost when comparing this to a brand new one.

Thanks

Pwede naman kung tutuusin ang condenser mic. Or, you can also borrow my Pio mic. Isang set-up lang naman yan.

Just went to the Audyssey site...they said that each mic is calibrated to the specific AVR....

Kung meron kang condenser mic it's worth trying. By logic, the condenser mic's sole purpose is to pick-up the sound from the room. Kung specific man yan, it's because of the limitations ng condenser mic used like hindi maganda and pick-up sa low frequency etc. Mas-sensitive lang ang condenser mic vs dynamic mic.

With the introduction of the new Denon AVR-XX13 models, Denon is now including the new "ACM1HB" black mic which Audyssey has confirmed is interchangeable with the DM-A409 (Denon) and ACM1H (Onkyo, Marantz) mics.

BTW may binebentang Onkyo remote and DM-A409 sa MP. ;)

UPDATE June 2012: Onkyo, Marantz and Denon units now all use the same ACM1HB mic.
