Topic: Newbie Question about setting up DTS audio

hello masters,

ask ko lang sana kung my idea po ba kayo pano papalabasin ang DTS sound sa yamaha rxv379 from TV?? naseset ko naman po ng DTS at HD audio sa TV ko pero wala akong nakikitang nag aappear na DTS sa screen ng receiver ko.lagi ko lang nakikita ang dolby.

HDMI ang gamit ko sir.. kasi nabasa ko sa google na through HDMI lang daw maibabato ang DTS papunta receiver. samsung series 6 4k tv. dun kasi ang nagsasalpak sa TV ng portable hardrive tapos gusto ko lang ibato ang DTS sound sa receiver.

Bro, kung naka-set na sa DTS yung HDMI out ng TV, try mo ilagay sa Straight yung receiver.

Yung setup ko sa bahay media player + Yamaha RX-V465.
Bale naka set sa RAW yung output ng media player tapos naka set sa Straight yung receiver. Pwede ring naka DIRECT mode yung receiver, pero bypassed kasi yung ibang DSP ng receiver pag naka direct kaya Straight ang ginagamit ko.

Di ko pa natry yung TV na may HDMI ARC luma kasi yung TV ko hehe.

question sir ung ni pplay nyo ba na movie from hard disk nyo eh DTS audio?

ni ccheck ko manual ng series 6 na UHD and mukhang kaya naman ung DTS audio na encoding..

Baka yung copy mo ng Movies ay dual audioformat naka default sa Dolby set mo sa DTS sa media player malapit sa setting ng Subtitles - Audio

naka DTS po lahat ng files ko mga sir. ang hindi ko nalang talaga na try gamitan ng oprtical, kasi ayun kay google useless sya basta my HDMI na. saka yung straight hindi ko pa na try yun baka sakaling madala dun. maraming maraming salamat sa inputs nyo mga sir. laking tulong ang PDVD family..

lahat ng movie files mo sa Media Player ay DTS,  lahat ng DTS movies mo Dolby Digital ang na detect ng AV Receiver mo. Kung Tama? Imposible yan. nung binili mo yan AV Receiver mo hindi nakaranas ng DTS? Konting kalikot lang yan sa settings. pero kung ginawa mo na lahat. better check the seller of your av receiver.

Sa tingin ko lang yung tv mo kaya decode (tv internal decoder) niya hd dts and dolby but to pass to your avr is only dolby.

ganun na nga po ang nangyayari boss. nagtry narin ako ng straight wala parin.. siguro sa TV hindi talaga nya kaya magbato ng DTS sa AVR.

usb ports heat up. just get a media player that is cheap and reliable. i recommend a wdtv because it's going for around 3k only bnew with local warranty to boot. other android based china made media players running the latest OS' can go as low as 1.5k but why bother?
