It's not much of a "heads up" if the prices aren't posted, to be honest.

I hope anyone posting here actually posts the prices.  I mean, what's the point, right?

VA panel yung 70UM7300. I tested it and the picture quality (motion and sharpness) is not as good as Sony or Samsung entry level VA panels. The 65 inch (IPS) is a better TV in my opinion.

re: 65UB7

the panel is not very good. noticeable ghosting in fast scenes. the interface is also not very good. you cant make fine adjustments on picture while playing a video via usb (you can only change picture presets). the tcl a8/p8 is much better interms of picture quality / and brightness (450nits). the interface is also decent. may slight delay lang sa remote when playing a 4k movie (usb/youtube).

All 4 below supposedly with HDR.

SM Appliances lahat yan.

The Skyworth units are running on Android Pie (9.0), have 2.5 gigs of RAM and have a better GPU than the TCL's.

The TCL P65 runs a proprietary version of Linux, has 1gig of RAM, and a 2018 model GPU. However, the TCL has a better panel and longer 2-year warranty.

The TCL 65P8US might be a better deal overall but I don't know what panel it has. There's an A8 version which I saw too but in Trinoma.

For guests and kids' rooms, the Skyworth would be my choice.  For personal viewing and for bedrooms with existing AV setups, a more astute videophile may prefer the TCL P65.

P8US is SM exclusive. A8 is abenson exclusive. They are almost the same, except for the housing. Between the skyworth and A8/P8, I prefer the TCL. Medyo dull yung colors ng ub75550 and I can see the ghosting in fast scenes. The interface is also bad, you can't make fine adjustments on picture while playing a video via usb.

they have to adjust somewhere to drop the price that low. most likely sa panel as that is where the bulk of the cost is.

I think being an Internet only business, they can afford to lower the price since no physical space showroom needed and sales personnel. Similar to Xiaomi business model when they were just starting.

I see. Then it seems the TCL would be the better bargain then, particularly since the warranty is for 2 years instead of 1 for the Skyworth 65".
