If you're willing to go big, the Samsung 70 RU100 can be had for ₱58,000.  Note that this is just a 1-year warranty, though.  The LG 70 UM7300 is at a lower price at ₱52,500 and with a 2-year warranty.

If you want to save some money the Sony 65 X8000G is a good deal at about ₱50k.  The Samsung 55 Q60R at about ₱55k is good too but with just a 1-year warranty though.

If you were looking at upping your budget, the 2 choices for me would be:
• Sony 55x9507g (android UHD model) - ₱65k
• LG 55 B9 (OLED) - ₱70.5k

I would actually save up a little further and go for the LG B9 OLED, if possible, the PQ is absolutely worth the extra time to save up.

But if you gotta get one now and stay within budget, I would go with the LG 70 UM7300, or if a 70" won't fit, then the Sony 65x8000g.

Hi Guys,

Good evening, may I ask any updates on new TV deals.

Hoping to get one in the coming few weeks. SM Marikina has a sale March 13th

Samsung 55 Q60R = 59K
Samsung 55 Q70R = 91K

Pero sabi sa thread na to:

https://www.pinoydvd.com/index.php/topic,223510.0.html

It's better to stay away from Samsung. Been Sony user ever since, yung papalitan na TV is Sony w-series na 32 LCD like 10years old. I am originally looking at Sony 55" X95G pero may slight disadvantage sa local dimming as compared to Q70r above.

Usage will be Youtube, Netflix, PS4. Viewing distance 6.5 ft (Okay kaya mag 65"?)

Thanks in advance,

Sir may I ask which is better between the Sony and and lg? Aside from the size advantage of the lg. I'm more on watching movies both hd and 4k and Netflix. Not really a gamer. I'm coming from 55 inch lg 4k but not hdr. So if I had to chose what's better.

Tawaran mo.  Tell them you can't go higher than 74k and that they should call it in sa manager.

If not, get the one in Carousell or go to the nearest Ansons branch and haggle there as well.  Start a price war. ;)

Either the lg um7300 or the Sony 65 8000g.

The Sony 65 8000g will have slightly better color rendition and picture quality than the LG 70 UM7300 (the 8000g's Triluminos microdimming function is key here).  At naka Android din, so mas marami apps.

Bigger is better, though, but a difference of 5 inches may not be that obvious, particularly if your viewing distance is close (like 8 feet or less).
