I believe if you're going over 50 inches, one should go the PJ route.

Still a good deal. I was bent on buying the same size in Ansons for 47K.  Ansons is selling the 55incher for 54K.
But upon finding out that Abenson is selling the 55' for 50k, I decided to get the bigger one.

alam ko same lang ang KS7000 sa KS8000. regional naming convention lang with the KS7000 for Asia(?).

Philippines models - KS7000 and KS9000
equivalent US model - KS8000 and KS9000
UK has 3 models - KS7000, KS8000, and KS9000 (difference i believe bet KS8000 and KS9000 is better local dimming on the KS9000)

What I'm looking for:

- TV for living room
- Size 55" to 60" max
- Needs to have high brightness (nit) as bright as possible - yung living room (2x big bay windows - in front of TV and side)
- TV needs to be non reflective as much as possible
- pref in the 50k to 70k price range (pero mas ok kung mas mura)

90% - To be used by teenagers playing PS4
10% - Sky cable TV

(note: movies - we watch sa bedroom on a 78" Samsung)

If you're looking at the 2017 models then it's not the right time. Prices will surely come down by October. If you can't find a KS model then just wait til October.

I hear the 55" OLED LG B6 can now be had at 79k if you know where to look.  This is a superior panel and definitely has better PQ.

Hey there KS7000 owners. I just want to know how you did your setup.
I have the Samsung KS7000, Denon 2809 and an Xbox One S

Currently I have the Xbox One S connected directly to the Samsung KS7000 via HDMI (It has to be or else I won't get 4k and HDR) (The Denon 2809 being an old receiver does not support 4k HDR passthrough)

And for sound I use an Optical cable from the Xbox One S to the Denon 2809.

Is this the best way to set it up now? At best I can only get DD or DTS from Optical. Is itv time for an upgrade?

Can I use the ARC feature of the TV to let sound out of the TV to the receiver?

This ARC feature is confusing me lol

I use the arc functionality as my receiver is also non 4k hdr pass through ready yet. You need to connect the receiver to the tv's arc hdmi port.

Yes. But your hdmi should be hdcp2.2 compliant.

From my experience, Q4 nagsisimula bumaba price ng mga TV. From ₱68k srp nakuha ko ng ₱50k yung 49ks7000 ko.

How do you get the HD Audio passthrough? Ano dapat yung Expert settings sa Audio? I only get PCM and Dolby Processed sound from the ARC to the Soundbar.

Your setup would be better since my Soundbar is only 4k @30 so no HDR passthrough yet if I put the soundbar in between the TV and the Media player.

Check your Media Player if it support passthrough, then just enable it.  If successful the audio setting dts and dolby will be highlighted.

Anyone else know where I can get the KS7000?

you'll be lucky to find a display unit at this time ... I looked at 6 stores of SM, Abensons, Ansons, and Western last month, but no luck ... ended up buying an LG TV

Oh ok. Yup. Got that to work na. But I was hoping that I could get the DTSHDMA and Dolby TrueHD to passthrough.

Currently, I'm looking for a 1x2 splitter that keeps the highest reso possible (4k 60 + HDR), but unfortunately, the ones I find on Amazon will split the resolution, but will adjust to the "lowest" resolution connected. I want to output the video to the KS7000, and then the audio to the Soundbar para HD Audio (DTSHDMA and Dolby TrueHD).

Here's my 49 KS7000

Gripe 1 - Feet is so far apart that it can't fit my existing TV rack which housed a 46 incher prior
