New model po yan at QLED na (it's an Abenson only model, btw), so far parang dalawa pa lang yata kayo dito ang meron niyan hehe.  I would suggest using calibration videos in YouTube using the highest possible resolution (4k sana).

What I do know is that calibration straight out of the factory is already pretty good, you would just need to do a little tweak here and there depending on preference.  Enjoy!

Thank you, Sir. Actually yung factory settings out of the box are very good. User friendly din yung navigation nya if gusto mo palitan picture mode. Try ko adjust lang ng konti para di ganun katingkad sa black scenes.

Carousell sellers average at about 27k right now.

Hi guys, I'm scouting for a tv for my light ps5 gaming. Is C715 worth it compared to Samsung TU8000 series? Thank you for the inputs!

Consider the C716 as well, it's slightly better than the Abenson exclusive C715.

The TU8000 series is an entry-level panel. The C715/716 is a Samsung QLED panel. That alone makes the TCL the better deal. Note as well that the Samsung only has a 1 year warranty.

i have two tcl tvs.  the p8m and the qled 716.

the qled is better with the colors and the sound is much much better. mas buo ang tunog pag nasa table.  wall mounted, the bass is diminished significantly.

what irks me is both models have bugs.  when you optimize android it says "scaning".  then if you use manual time and your internet disconnects, when you reconnect, wifi says "connected, no internet".  you have to go back to automatic time to fix the issue.

also, qled could use more black details and the motion is not as smooth as samsung, lg or sony.

i would have gone hisense with the better picture quality but the commander wanted android.  in hindisght, i should have just bought a new chromecast with the hisense.

having said that, i am still satisfied with the tcl qled.

do you think it's safe to buy sa FB Marketplace? C716 55 inches sells for only 27,500 with 2 years TCL warranty din.

I think I got mine, same price or even cheaper sa ansons q-plaza, in front of sta. lucia mall.  other ansons branches should be able to give the same price.

Finally jumped on the bandwagon. Sobrang sulit ng C716, bought at Anson's Cash and Carry. Ditched my PC monitor to save space :)

If he issues a receipt that you could use for warranty claims, then you're good to go.

Bought a 55 C716 (QLED) for the office.  Pleasantly surprised that Netflix actually displays "Dolby Vision" on content which has it.

Still busy catching up on the inevitable holiday work backlog but this tv has been great so far in the two days since it arrived.

Those can be sideloaded but do bear in mind that Disney+ is not yet available in the country but if you have VPN that should work.

Hi,

Is TLC 50c716, back lit (direct LED)? Is this a good QLED? Wala kasi ako makita review from respected reviewers about this specific model ng TCL. Mas maganda po b sya kesa sa Sony H80H?

Sigh! Our TCL 43” Smart TV which we just finished paying via 12-mos zero interest suddenly conked out. It just wouldn’t turn on. Changed already w/ 3 separate power cables but still the same - no power.

Thanks Ken. I am hoping it is just the fuse. Problem is that the TV is installed via wall so I won’t be able to see of there’s a blown fuse. Sigh

Is there a fuse in this TV? Or if it conks out the whole power supply panel can be the culprit?

Chances are if there is no power= Power Supply or Fuse, there is power but no display= Panel.

it happen to my Samsung before no power & its the PSU, got it change around P4k coz no more warranty at that time. Yours is still under warranty? if yes then replacement would surely be free.

UPDATE: Called TCL’s Customer Service. They required me to do the following:
1. Email copy of proof of purchase
2. Email copy of warranty card
3. Email picture of TV
4. Email video proof that TV not working

However, it will take 48-hours to “validate” re: submitted documents. TV was purchased from SM Appliance Center Dec. 16, 2019 so still under 2-year warranty.. Then TCL said after the 48-hours evaluation, they’ll send a technician to check the unit w/in 5-days

So, I called the Service Center directly here in Davao. Location is 5mins away by car. Tehy got the details, serial no. etc. And they’ll visit tomorrow. They confirmed that unit is still under warranty. However, for parts needed, may take 10-12days to be shipped to Davao from Manila as they do not have stocks of parts here. ABANGAN!

If it's a power supply, chances are the service center overstocks these as they are typically the first ones to conk out.  Good luck on your warranty!

TCL Service Staff called that they will visit around 10:00AM today. Whole power supply and motherboard module was replaced. After about 15mins, we plugged it in and it is now OK and good as new. Good thing our unit is still covered with warranty until Dec. 2021
