malabo yata ako sa streaming ng 4K.. kasi gapang ako sa mga TV series like Flash and Supergirl... 480p lang ako maayos nakakapanood without byffering.. not sure kung sa source or something.. kasi pag 720p na parang panay ang hinto.. but never ko naman na experience yan using may Netflix account..  meron bang add ons ng mga pinoy movies? thanks

paano po gagawin ito.. sorry hehehe sobrang mahina ako sa ganito.. 5 hours of tweaking pero sumakit ulo ko.. player na gamit ko is sometimes yung terranium or the megaboxhd.. kapag kodi ang gamit ko its either the alluc or exodus..

2 factors to consider since streaming ka pala via internet. im only using kodi.
-internet speed
-speed ng sources mo, mas mabagal kapag free lang service lang

if you can play hd videos via netflix with no issues, then malamang mabilis ang internet mo. netflix servers are quite fast.

Thanks.. what i hate sa Netflix is hindi lahat ng title na available sa kapatid ko (hawaii) is available sa atin.. region lock daw.. extension lang yung account ko.. and sabi sa akin.. gumamit ako ng VPN.. hahaha masyado ko na ginagawang complicated ang buhay ko.. all i want is to watch movies lang naman.. pero really i'm beginning to love this box...

SMB file sharing too slow. You have to use UPnP DLNA server for sharing media files.

download lang po ng side load apps.. automatic yung sa akin nandun na pagkatapos ko mai-downlaod yung

Why not try using the SIDELOAD LAUNCHER?

It sits right smack on your home screen, it will collect all the shortcuts for the sideloaded apps in one convenient place without going to SETTINGS > APPS.

The power button "icon" is on the firmware of the nvidia shield, not the mi box.

The background changes depending on certain apps lang, not all. Google movies yung 2nd picture and when it highlights a movie, the background changes.

That is correct Sir @scifi-fan. The screenshot was only used to illustrate  Sideload Launcher, a tip I learned earlier from an Nvidia Shield user and confirmed that it also works well in the Mi Box.  Per earlier discussion in this thread, it's not designed to be powered down and no app (as far as I know) does the power off for this particular box.

Really having a problem playing movie smoothly kapag gumagamit ako ng usb hub... using a usb hub with ethernet port.. naka plug sa lan.. nakasaksak sa hub was a 2tb mybook and a dongle for the air mouse.. may pagkakataon na minsan may stuttering during playback pero tolerable.. any suggestion..

Just to chime in on the 2.4Ghz-5ghz connections.

I used to let the Mi Box to automatically connect to either 2.4Ghz or 5ghz. I am aware that my neighbors are using wifi but I have no idea how many of them are actually broadcasting wifi signals and in what specific channels. Choosing the right wifi channel can minimize wireless interference.

Analyzing the wifi signals in my location, this is what I typically see in 2.4Ghz although there had been days when I see more, and these wifi signals occupy channels that constantly change, an indication that the routers are set to AUTO CHANNEL:



In the 5Ghz, the result yields only a singular user:



Having seen the results, it prompted me to move the Mi Box's connection to 5Ghz to a channel not being used. Hoping that it will give me less interference and a more stable connection. So far in the last 6 months, all is okay.

Yes po.. and narrowed the situation.. parang wala sa usb hub ang problem.. same result kasinkung naka plug sa usb hub and direct sa port ng mi box.. parang sa certain movie lang yata.. not sure kung bakit.. just watch Total Recall in HVEC x265 file and played smoothly.. fast forward.. reverse.. with no hiccups.. pero nung Batman Begins ang pinanood ko in 1080p.. may stuttering pero tolerable.. di ko rin mai forward or reverse using the seek bar.. pag nag seek ako.. parang nag pause.. di na gumagalaw yung screen.. pero di ganiti sa Total Recall.. di ko alam kung meron pa akong dapat ayusin sa settings..

if playing via usb, at normal settings gagana naman usually. are you using the latest kodi 17.3?

Might be the file or the movie that i am watching..  mamayang gabi subukan ko sa ibang title..

meron akong isang file that doesn't finish in kodi. it's 4.69GB. aside from it, others went ok.

I have connected a 16gb usb flash drive directly in its usb port for the apps, went thru settings-storage and migrated from internal to external.

yesterday, i downloaded a lot of games to try the ipega bluetooth controller i just bought, when the games were downloaded and installed, i was left with a little less than 1gb in my internal storage, how can i move it to the flash drive and free up space

Yes. SPMC can be installed together with Kodi in the Mi Box.

Samsung.. motion settings off.. playing my movies from hard drives from my mede8er works smoothly.. di ko lang talaga maipaliwanag bakit sa kodi ganun.. while sa mx player okey naman.. naiisip ko nq nga re-install ang kodi.. btw i am using a 17.3 version..

You may try this thing to see if it will fix your problem, by enabling DEVELOPER SETTINGS. In HDMI OPTIMIZATION, selecting "Best Frame Rate" instead of the default setting which is "Best Resolution." I'm assuming you are using a UHD panel.

Go to your SETTINGS.

If there isn't any developer settings tile that you see, try this:

Go to “Settings.”
Select “About” icon at the top row, most right side.
Press “Build” button, located at the bottom for 7 times.
Go back to “Home” and Go to “Settings” again,
"Developer options" now appears.
