True. I'm still wrapping my head around as to why they do it though. Probably send a defective or wrong item and hope you will have a hard time sending it back thus using remote locations in the provinces as store fronts?? I would get some scammers not using the Shoppee shipping option so the deal would be outside the app. Maybe that's it. They'll dupe you by trying to get the transaction outside the platform.

My practice is to test the items immediately after receiving and release the payment once I confirm the product is okay. I figure some sellers make their living off this platform, so even if only helps a little (I only buy cheap stuff) I release my payment as soon as possible.

Regarding Indonesian sellers, I've encountered them before. I think I was looking for transformers and grounding rods and I found people from Indonesia selling these.

Noticed something. Purchased an item that got delivered today which earned me 200 points which i planned on using sa next purchase na nasa cart ko na.

When i was checking out, nag error. then pag balik, biglang nag bago at nag increase na yung price nung item to 300 pesos more!

checked yung same item from another seller that's also in my cart that had the exact same price (i do this kasi to check if which one will have the best price and discount vouchers) and it too increased to the same price!

may kalokohan din itong shopee eh.

i am doing the same. once nadeliver ang item i will open it to count/check/test then immediately release the payment pag ok lahat or initiate return/refund. shopee lang nakikinabang pag di mo agad click ang order received kasi nasa kanila na yong pera. never extend warranty unless needed kasi kawawa naman yong mga maliit na sellers.

last week i ordered 3 pcs. plastic storage P112/pc. may damage yong cap nong isa so i immediately initiatied refund. then nagreply immediately ang seller ng return and refund daw which i also accepted. kaya lang nong check ko yong return process wala na yong pickup ng shopee at ako na bahala kung anong courier piliin. syempre ayaw ko umalis ng bahay so either grab or lalamove lang. naawa naman ako sa seller kasi laking lugi nya nagpropose ako na mag oorder ulit ako ng 2 pcs. (maganda yong item) then include nya yong replacement cap. 2 days later no reply so tumawag ako sa shopee para irequest na magmediate sila pero di pa raw pwede. nakita ko yong number nong seller sa return address at tinawagan ko explaining my new proposal. explain nong seller na may tao syang nag aasikaso ng mga order at hingi ng hingi ng sorry. few minutes later sa shopee app hingi naman ng sorry yong tao at dagdagan na lang daw nya ng freebies. minsan wala kasing pakialam yong taong nagpiprepare ng items. yan most of the time ang reason hindi yong intentional na pinalusutan  ka ng defective. kung magpalusot kasi sila ng defective mas lugi pa sila sa shipping ng return.

Malamang fake review yun para artificially mapataas yung rating ng item.

Mapapansin mo yan sa mga fake microSD card listings na ang taas ng capacity sa label like 512GB or 1TB pero actually mga 32 or 64GB lang kaya na ko-corrupt yung data pag lumampas doon yung writes. Nilalagyan ng seller ng maraming fake template reviews na may pictures pa at naka upvote pa na "helpful" para matabunan yung negative reviews ng mga nagrereklamo.

Yup, daming stupid reviews sa Shopee. Maliban sa nabanggit, marami negative feedback na kasalanan ng buyer kasi hindi marunong magbasa. Recently bumili ako ng small diamond cutting discs tapos may stupid feedback na wag daw bumili kasi ang liit, useless daw. Pero sa product description nandun ang dimensions ng discs. That's why pag nag-upload akong ng product pictures laging may katabi na ruler, para may sense of scale ang mga buyers na nagre-rely lang sa pictures at di man magbasa ng product description. Ganun din for some switches na binili ko, ang presyo per pair (as stated sa description) pero sa picture 3 ang switch. So estupido na buyer nagko-complain kung bakit 2 lang daw ang switch.

Marami rin pala nagu-upload ng videos and pics na nonsense (like mga pics ng celebrities) para lang makakuha ng coins. Nakakabanas, dapat yung mga ganyan binbawasan ng coins as penalty for uploading nonsense instead of legitimate product videos at photos.

Mismo.  Hindi na tuloy accurate ang feedback/rating system.  Some sellers tell buyers in advance that if they have gripes eh pag usapan muna (para aregluhin si buyer) at di bumaba rating ng seller.  Nawawalan tuloy ng credibility yung proseso.

i rarely give negative feedbacks, but sometimes can't avoid like when i ordered dm2450 depletion mosfets, i received enhancement types instead....but i commented that the item was a fake one...

growing pains talaga ng mga Pinoy yan sa E-Commerce. Last 4 to 5 years lang naman nag take off dito yan so talagang marami nagkakamali sa purchase (not reading product description), review ng delivery/packaging  and not the product itself etc.

In time the masses will learn.

The discounts and free shipping for small purchases make it a sweeter deal than say àliexpress or banggood. This is why i miss shopees' daily 0 minimum spend midnight vouchers. I noticed the indonesian prices are a bit on the higher side though. But it still fills the product gap that some china merchants do not carry. So it's all good.

I noticed that some sellers where I previously purchased items from via credit card, no longer offer the same mode of payment.  So the most convenient for me would then be via COD.  I wonder why they took out the credit card option whether it's the seller who took it out or Shopee.

So I might explore ShopeePay too.

my status at shopee is "Platinum" but i never took advantage of vouchers and discounts, the items i buy are too cheap anyway than when i buy them from other sources...
