In-Ceiling Setup inquiry
« on: May 26, 2017 at 05:45 PM »
Hi, would like to inquire if the below setup is possible:

3 in-ceiling speakers
1 receiver Amp

setup:

2 in ceiling speakers in the living room
1 in-ceiling speaker in the bedroom
Receiver in the living room
all speaker connected to the receiver, but would like the bedroom speaker's volume to be independent so that i could lower or increase the sound in the bedroom separately from the living room speakers.

Yes, doable. Get a receiver that can power a zone 2 area.

Get a 7.1 amp with network capability. You can adjust the volume using the app.

Ako id rather have a separate system for my living room. A basic amplifier and Bluetooth receiver lang ang kailangan mo idagdag. Independent pa. You don't have to turn on the receiver sa bedroom to get the living room system to work.

He probably wants to play the same material across rooms at times and maybe have a centralized media repository.

If area has Wifi you can go the Sonos route.  based on your requirement you need 2 Sonos Connect Amps and you are good to go.  Both zones controlled by any tablet or smartphone. same music being played or independent of each other.

Also,  can anyone recommend some good and reasonably priced in-ceiling speakers and where to get one.

Only thing i can find is from bose and cost around 29k a pair, medyo out of range na if i need two pairs that would almost cost me 60k for the speakers alone.

Can't seem to find in-ceiling for JBL.

if you can source it out from the US do so as it will come out very cheap. This is what we have in our living room/kitchen and patio in the US:

https://www.amazon.com/Theater-Solutions-Ceiling-Surround-Speaker/dp/B00FL2WX2K/ref=sr_1_16?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1495931482&sr=1-16&keywords=in+ceiling+speakers

very good sounding and for $80 for 5 its a no brainer

I remember someone suggesting before that if you wanna go the happy budget meal route, you can use any 4 channel amp with left and right fader/balance knob.

Use the left channel for one room, and the right for the other. You get to pipe out the same source music and have the ability to adjust the volume in either room.

Haven't done this but seems like it's going to work.
