If you go by basketball-reference, the Lakers will have around $68M in contracts for the 2018-2019 season for the ff players: Deng, Mozgov, Clarkson, Russell, Ingram, Ball, Nance, Zubac

The 18-19 projected cap is $103M, so they'll have around $35M to play around with for signing PG as well as trying to retain other assets like Julius Randle, Tarik Black, Nick Young (?), Thomas Robinson, David Nwaba, and Tyler Ennis

i dont think deng and mozgov will still be a laker next season.

I'm really hoping that Ainge will be able to go win now mode and use his assets. He already reached the east finals this year so a few moves may very well push the team to the finals.

Here we go: Woj reports that the Lakers have agreed to trade D'Angelo Russell and Mozgov to the Nets for Brook Lopez and the 27th pick.

This also likely means the Lakers are taking Ball in the draft. If he turns out to be the point guard they need, this would be a good trade IMO. Still not convinced that Ball is better than Russell.

EDIT: Brook Lopez has one more year left in his contract, so no guarantee he stays after next season. Hmm.. at least the Mozgov contract is off their books.

Sabi ni adrian wojnarowski sa twitter the lakers did this for cap space in pursuit of paul george and lebron james. Si luol deng siguro eh sinusubukan din nilang i-dump for expiring contract/s.

Yup, mukhang nag decide na ang LA to wait til next season para kay PG13. Sa nabasa ko, di papayag ang Indiana to trade him to the Lakers without at least the 2nd pick in exchange.

Mas okay kung ma retain ng Lakers si Brook Lopez. Puwede rin siyang mentor ni Zubac. Injury prone lang nga, but I guess guys like Randle and Nance will take care of rebounding so puwedeng pa-tres tres na lang at blocks si Lopez

Sana may makuha pang shooters ang LA sa draft.

^ok nga din si brook lopez. allergic nga lang sya sa rebounding. lol

si d'angelo russell hindi ko lang gusto sa kanya parang he has a "i'm too good for this" attitude/vibe sa court. may angas pero wala pa naman napapatunayan. may times na parang nag co-coast lang sya sa court eh. may nabasa din ako na may question ang front office at coaching staff sa maturity nya at leadership. hindi daw marunong tumanggap ng criticism kaya medyo na disappoint daw sila sa lack of improvement nya last season.

lonzo ball is enough sa ngayon. package na kasi sya eh. sana naman maganda resulta ng taon ngayon. bulok kasi talaga yung jim buss, walang alam sa basketball operation kaya matagal natulog sa kangkungan ang lakers eh.

This all but confirm that LAKERS will tab Ball with the #2 pick ......... have to say it, a good trade by Magic.

LAKERS to draft their franchise PG, get a starting center, get an additional pick PLUS erase the Mozgov mistake.

NETS get their franchise PG but absorb Mozgov's albatross contract ....... sa bagay, despite a great year by Lopez, they still stunk. Might as well continue the rebuild.

atleast my magandang panimulang movement sa lakers. sa ilang taon simula nung namatay si jerry buss nalugmok na ang lakers. wala ng maayos na balita. lahat ng star players tumatanggi mapunta dun.

once my nabasa pa nga ko si clarkson dami pangungutya at tanong sa kanya pero lately sabi ng mga fans he is the reason nalang bakit nila pinapanood ang lakers.

wow gulat ako sa moves ng Lakers. me too, can't see D'Angelo as the future PG of Lakers. parang ang bagal ng development nya as a #2 pick. Inconsistent and parang walang leadership. saka pag naglalaro eh parang walang sense of urgency, chill masyado hehe. at mabuti na offload na contract ni Mozgov, hopefully next is Deng's contract.
