Making the playoffs is a realistic target now for the TWOLVES ........ adding a superstar in Butler and serviceable vets in Teague & Gibson, likely makes them a contender for those last playoff spots (7th or 8th).

Ilang taon pa bago mahinog sila KAT & Wiggins, getting vets was the only way to go for Thibs.

I think Hayward will sign with the Celtics. Aside from his relationship with the coach, Boston gives Hayward great opportunity to compete for a championship immediately. Then he'll be a more marketable superstar in the East. There's also the likelihood the franchise will commit to him long-term as a cornerstone more than Isaiah Thomas. Pat Riley is brilliant in recruiting talent but the Celts are the safer choice than the Heat at this point.

1 vs 16 .....so on until mag top 2 finals. Hehe hindi ata approved sa nba.

medyo mahirap yung top 16. kung east vs west ang magkatapat sa playoffs, parang nba finals na sila na kailangan mag travel and adjust ng time zone

Sayang talaga OKC. They struck gold with their draftees before the Warriors did. They had an excellent program. If only they were patient, had a better coach than Brooks, and KD, Russ, Harden learned to co-exist and play solid together. They shouldnt have broken up that core after they lost to Miami and Spurs - the guys were still young and it didnt take too long for Miami and Spurs to decline.

We would have been seeing OKC and GS battling each other year after year. Warriors will have no answer for KD.

Now there's no stopping the Warriors in their prime and OKC, if George leaves next year, will be forced to rebuild.

What a tragic (unexpected) implosion.

KD, WB & Harden can co-exist as they've reached the Finals. but the problem with OKC before was they've decided to retain Ibaka than Harden as they are afraid to pay luxury-tax. also, they've seen a gap in their defense which obviously Harden cannot provide (matador defense anyone?) which I think contributed to their decision.

That was a costly blunder - choosing Ibaka over Harden. Had they waited, the Beard could at least have been traded for a CP3.

It will take years for OKC to recover from that mistake and KD's walkaway. OKC is still a good team but they're no longer elite.

that's true but IMO Harden still has more impact than PG13, Butler or Hayward.

I don't think choosing Ibaka over Harden was a mistake. Ibaka was the kind of player the Thunder needed then. A shot blocking defensive minded 4 who covers defensive mistakes by their wing players. While Harden plays similarly as Westbrook. Retaining Ibaka was a sound decision. The blunder would probably be on not retaining the core and simply paid the luxury tax. NBA Champs nowadays need to pay the luxury tax to get a title.

But if you need a connection....the decision to retain Ibaka netted them Paul George.

That would be a nice signing by the Lakers if it pushes through. Pelinka is doing a nice job so far.

Good point. But I wonder where is Ibaka now? The Beard almost got the MVP.

OKC lost 2 players (KD and Harden) in the caliber of Steph and Klay for nothing. Ouch!

These 3 are good defensive players, among the 3 i enjoyed watching hayward..

Pre-season game between PHI and BOS just ended. First time for me to see Jayson Tatum play a full game, and he was impressive. He should crack the Celtics' frontcourt rotation. Jaylen Brown also needs more playing time. Not a great game by Fultz, but I agree that his style of play resembles that of James Harden. Better off the ball at 2.

Malapit na yata mag-decide si Hayward. His recruitment tour ended earlier with a final meeting with the Jazz.

Agree. Just the mentality of Magic-Pelinka alone is much better already than the stagnant Kupchack-Buss before them. Sana matuloy itong George Hill signing.

I'm impressed sa 1st NBA summer league game ni Jayson Tatum. Mukhang good pick ng Celts to. Form, looks and moves mukhang gagaling ng husto to. Whilst not much impressed kay Fultz. First showing pa lang naman to.

Si Jaylen Brown, my favorite Celts now, played really great today! Sana di na kumuha ng ibang max players tong si Ainge. Just stick to these kids mas enjoy panuorin.
