Guess not. It's a no-brainer that most decent players would want money and security. All the Lakers could likely offer is 1 year and Hill reportedly would get 3 years with SacTown.

The upcoming season would continue to be a development year for Lakers' young players. They might be more entertaining with Ball in tow but I see them continuing to languish at the bottom of the West.

GS, SA, OKC, HOU, LAC, POR, MIN, DEN or MEM

I hope GSW picks up Monta Ellis for vet's minimum, if he's available, rather than Nick Young. Ellis, a former Warrior, would be a good offensive threat off the bench.

Meanwhile in the East, with the departure of All-Stars PG13, Butler and Millsap, IND, CHI and ATL will likely miss next season's playoffs. I think CLE, BOS, TOR, WAS, MIL will be joined this time by CHA, PHI and maybe MIA. Pero CLE v. BOS pa rin yan, especially if the Hayward move is confirmed.

DET might squeeze into the playoffs rather than PHI.

If CLE wont make any move, I think the Celtics w/ Hayward will finally beat them.

This is a dangerous team. The Cavs should be very concerned:

PG - Thomas / Smart
SG - Bradley / Rozier
SF - Hayward / Brown
PF - Crowder / Tatum
C - Horford

EDIT: Olynyk is now a UFA.

This signing is big to the C's. They will be set for the future with this and all their lottery picks.

They would need another quality back up center to relieve Horford and adress their rebounding defficiency from last year...

Any free agents left that are bigs? I think Javale is still in the market.

Boston is also really thin at the 4 spot. I don't think Crowder is a full time 4.

Feel sorry for the Jazz. They nurtured Hayward to be an All Star only to see him go. Now they'd likely miss the playoffs after a successful season just recently.

Teams should now be very cautious when their top players' contracts are almost up. Teams should at least be able to trade players for some assets.

CLE and OKC should be very wary. Lebron and Russ are UFA next year.

Not happy about Haywards acqui. Not a fan of his game (nor butler and pg). Mas gusto ko young players lang ang palaruin as starters win or lose. Kaya lang namam sila umabot sa east finals is because of IT.

Signing Hayward is Independent from Paul George though. The PG13 deal was more dependent on the Hayward signing which Boston did. A 3 year extension was in place and agreed by PG13 should they sign Hayward. But Indiana was impatient. Boston could have had both.

Yes but at the expense of a much superior package of Lakers 2018 pick from 2-5 or Kings 2019 pick, jae Crowder and possibly Avery Bradley.

Actually it's kind of Utah's fault as well. When Hayward was a RFA, they let him sign an offer sheet. By extending him then, they could have signed him for that fifth year instead of the offer sheet which they matched. But had an opt out clause which he exercised
