Cavs just being greedy. The Brooklyn pick was thrown in to make up for assuming the IT injury risk. Besides, Crowder, Zizic and the Brooklyn pick is still a win.

The Brooklyn pick was the centerpiece of the trade. Not IT.

if the trade is rescinded it is a bigger issue for Boston.

1. IT will surely feel bad that the organization tried to trade him and so is Crowder and Zizic. It will be a monkey behind their back all season. Not good for team chemistry. He might even do a DRose and rehab all year just to spite Boston.

2. No Team in their right mind will try to trade for IT now that he failed the physical and might not even be the player he once was. This will make it difficult for Boston to move him. He will try his best though to become better since this is a contract year for him but he can also declare himself out for the year and get a 1 year contract soon after that to prove that he can still play at the highest level and set himself up for that max payday that he is seeking.

3. CLE will still need to move a healthy Kyrie before the start of the season.  This wont pose as a problem for them since other teams want him. The question of course is are they willing to give as much as what Boston tried to give in return for Uncle Drew

You are saying the Cavs held up negotiations for a week ba and risked potentially losing the 2018 Brooklyn pick which could turn out to be number 1 so that they could get a late second rounder in 2020 pa?    The Cavs were holding out for a late second round pick?  In 2020....three years from now?  They were willing to risk everything for that?
