Still Duncan played in the same era as Kobe. More regular season MVPs, more Finals MVPs, Rookie of the Year, winning a title in 3 different decades....

Then consider Duncan is arguably the best power forward ever..,plus Duncan lead teams never tasted the lottery. Duncan easily defeats Kobe imo.

On PBA, Ramon Fernandez is the GOAT for me, and I'm also a Jaworski fan .... what I'm saying, is that the GOAT discussion is very subjective, anyone will have their own favorites, we'll reach a thousand page on this thread without resolving that discussion ... kanya-kanyang trip lang yan .... #GoSpursGo ... already waiting for next season

I'd give Duncan a very small notch-up over Kobe too .......... Duncan's low-key, no-nonsense, all-fundamental style is both a boon and a bane for him.

It wins him championships or at least contend for one, but it also makes him the (un) sexy choice among greatest/list discussions .......... people and the media will always have their eyes on the high-flying, high-scoring types.

In a way, can't blame them also - MJ was that good that he made the template that others follow.

doesn't matter to me. the important thing for me is, the offensive player outwits the defender and scores a basket. as far as i know, the primary objective of basketball is to score more points than the opponent, entertainment counts very little to me [globetrotters is an exception, though].

I hate to say it but I'll pick Kobe over TD.. Spurs fan here..
