Netflix comedy/drama starring (and co-written by) Aziz Ansari, who plays a struggling actor in NY

It takes a few episodes to warm up to you, but those who stick with it will be rewarded. Season 2 is probably the most enjoyable TV I've had in a while. These guys are sticking their necks out and trying all sorts of things, tackling controversial topics and playing around with different formats, all without the constraints of a traditional network. No set length (some episodes are the usual 20 minutes, some last up to an hour), all depending on the story they want to tell for that episode. There's one shot entirely in B&W on location in Italy. There's another (which is probably my favorite) where they had a full 8 minutes of zero dialog, in what's as close to real life as it gets for a scripted TV series.

Pummel through the first season which has its share of hits and misses, and head to Season 2 which is really where this show shines. Can't wait to see what else they come up with next.
