Need Suggestion: 4k Android Player
« on: Sep 21, 2017 at 04:59 AM »
mga master need your inputs.

im looking for a good android media player that has atleast 2gb ram. or simply can play 4k files and hevc's smoothly.

budget is around 3k-4k only. meron po ba ganun? im eyeing for a himedia brand na player but still for confirmation of budget from the manager (misis). haha.

patanong narin

my disadvantage po ba ang pagplay direct sa TV except the fact na mas maraming kayang i play ng mga media players?

thank you in advance

Here is a general info regarding kodi boxes.
https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=252916

What kind of 4K files/media do you intend to play? aside from netflix/amazon there are very little 4K media out there. I have 2 chinese boxes with 1G ram, x96 and tx3 pro, both can play hevc files properly.

Sir @JeromeA, get the Mi Box. Perfect for your 3k-4k budget. You can get it from Globe or Intogadgets.

anyone here own both an htpc and a media player? or at least tested which has the better image quality?

im thinking of getting a media player like the zidoo or himedia if its equal or has better image quality than an htpc with madvr.

no problems playing back with 4k HEVC 10bit videos
jellyfish-120-mbps-4k-uhd-hevc-10bit.mkv http://jell.yfish.us/media/jellyfish-120-mbps-4k-uhd-hevc-10bit.mkv playback with no issues via mx player over the network via wireless AC and Gigabit ethernet streamed over the network.
also I have 4k HEVC 10bit 60fps 50Mbps 800mb 2min (Samsung_UHD_7Wonders_of_the_World_Italy.ts) https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0Bxj6TUyM3NwjNFNmTUJEVjZjMDA plays flawlessly over the network .
kahit yung jellyfish-300-mbps-4k-uhd-hevc-10bit.mkv http://jell.yfish.us/media/jellyfish-300-mbps-4k-uhd-hevc-10bit.mkv kaya niya ma playback via mx player copied to internal storage walang issue.

Go for MiBox for your budget...

im also considering mibox. the only disadvantage is iisa lang ang usb port nya. sa ibang android box kasi pwede ako mag copy ng files hardrive to hardrive.

mibox is around 3.8k-4k.. i think mas ok parin ang open hour. but mas mahal sya eh.

bro Jerome, no worries sa HDD mo, dapat kaya yan... though I wonder na-notice mo kapag kay V88 OTT mo di gaanon nag-iinit HDD?  parang ngayon ko lang narinig may ganyan encounter sa tv USB hehe

anyway, kung kaya naman ng TV that's good!  until you have ATMOS/DTS:X HT set-up and movie collections ka nlang mag-media player... otherwise, sakto na 5.1 AVR mo connect via HDMI ARC or optical cable from TV to AVR when watching AC3/DTS movies with your TV's build in USB movie player

Confirming for Mi Box 3. Although there's only a scant collection of 4k videos on YouTube. You also need a fast and stable Internet connection to prevent buffering when streaming 4k videos.

May zidoo x9 playing 1080p full bluray iso upscaled to 4K

You can get zidoo at lazada COD with cheaper price.

I’m now enjoying my zidoo from lazada and all files i play has no issue 1080p remux, full bluray 1080p and 4K remux.
