The Boys Becomes One of Amazon’s Most Watched Series

It’s been just two weeks since the premiere of Amazon Prime Video’s adaptation of The Boys, and now the streaming service has revealed that the first season has exceeded expectations and become one of Amazon’s most watched series of all time.

“We are thrilled that The Boys has surpassed our predictions for viewing in its first two weeks, and has become one of our most watched Amazon Original series by our Prime Video customers,” Head of Amazon Studios Jennifer Salke said in a statement (via IGN). “This creates great momentum and excitement for us as we get ready for season two.”

“I’m so beyond thrilled with the response to Season 1,” showrunner Eric Kripke added. “And mainly, it’s made me get my ass in gear and work even harder on Season 2. I don’t want Season 2 to go bigger, I want it to go deeper. A more intense, more insane, more wrenching, more character-driven season. It’s my one and only goal to make Season 2 even better than Season 1.”

The official numbers of viewers were not given by the streaming service.

Done with season 1. Nice cliffhanger! I hope they adapt the Herogasm arc from the comics.

I know the actor who plays Hughie is the son of Dennis Quaid. But he really looks like a young General Zod from Man of Steel.

This is my favorite series of the year.

I hope they get a bigger budget for next season so we can see more from the supes.

Timeless alums Goran Visnjic and Claudia Doumit are joining the second season of Amazon’s superhero drama series The Boys in recurring roles.

Visnjic will portray Alistair Adana, the charismatic and shadowy leader of a mysterious church. Doumit will play Victoria Neuman, a young wunderkind congresswoman.
