I'm for the Lakers but for me sana I trade na lang nila si Lebron for someone else next season, and keep the young core, I can live with them even if they don't make the playoffs at least they were trying their best before the got demoralized because of the trade rumors! sama na nila sa trade si Magic at Perlinka! :)

One can say that it is indeed a failed season for Lebron. As the season started, everyone was saying that the Laker's are sure of landing in the playoffs. Heck they were even at the top 3-5 spot in the West before Lebron's injury. Stephen A Smith even said that they will reach the West finals. Now, they are bound to be a lottery team, a turn around from the predictions.

Paano kaya kung nakuha nila si Anthony Davies? Pasok kaya sila sa playoffs?

LAKERS failures aside - quite an achievement for Lebron this year, 4th all-time in scoring & 10th all-time in assists .......... Wow.

Yes, siya lang.

One more piece of sports trivia on this ......... "Lebron James is the only non-point guard in the top 10 all-time assists list. The next-highest non-guard on the list is Scottie Pippen, who ranks 33rd."

LAKERS lost season aside, Lebron with some stats showing he's an all time great.

Lebron is ranked third in all time finals losses behind Jerry West and Elgin Baylor.

Then all time greats usually have won more than half their finals appearances.

So are you saying lebron, west and baylor are not all time greats because of their multiple losses at the nba finals?

But you can certainly back up your opinion.  Magic, MJ, Bird, Kareem, Russell. Duncan, Hakeem

Ya but those 3 players are certainly ranked up there. On the 50th anniversary of the nba, west and baylor was also named top 50 players of all time. I think different media outlets will rank them differently. Some even have lebron ranked above the players you just listed.

Thats why i say its really down to personal opinion.

Here is an example. From slam online. His top 100 list. Yun top 10. There are even more different sites with their top 50 or 100 of all time. So your championship win/losses argument is flawed imo.

No. 10: Larry Bird No. 9 Tim Duncan No. 8: Wilt Chamberlain No. 7: Bill Russell No. 6: Shaquille O’Neal No. 5: Kobe Bryant No. 4: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar No. 3: Magic Johnson No. 2: LeBron James No. 1: Michael Jordan

That is why I said all time greats usually......

Another thing....In the case of Baylor and West though.... Russell was simply the best player in the finals series against those players.

Now I can argue that Lebron was probably the best player in all his finals appearances and yet he went 3-6.

So if West and Baylor had Russell as an excuse.... who is Lebron's excuse?

How is it flawed when you yourself proved my point that all time greats usually win more than half their finals appearances?

Glancing at your list, 8 out of those top ten won more than half their finals appearances.

So that's 80% which supports my premise.

It is just impossible to keep comparing different eras in sports. In team games, you cannot just say because of this player, that player etc. Basketball is a team game. If it comes down to the blame game. Who can lebron blame? Well he can blame the superteam gsw. They are just too powerful. So i ask you, who can Bird of the celtics blame when they lost to the magic lakers? Bird was 3 time mvp, straight pa yan, and his team still lost to the lakers.

Even if lebron is the best player in the nba, it will depend on his team. Cavs still went to the finals last year. Those were not easy feats.

Jordan's bulls never had to compete with a superteam like the warriors. The closest superteam at that era for me is the 86 celtics and the 87 lakers. Jordans bulls cant even beat these teams and the bad boys of detroit. Im not taking anything away from the bulls. It is just impossible to say who is the greatest, the greatest team etc. Because the teams, players and rules are different for different eras.

Ganun nalang, show me an updated 50 best player in the nba list, after the 1997 50th anniversary list showing me lebron james is not in that all time great players list.

He is probably in everybodys top 20 list

It is just impossible to keep comparing different eras in sports. In team games, you cannot just say because of this player, that player etc.

I am not even comparing eras.  I am pointing out what a certain player has done in the finals in his own era or generation.

Basketball is a team game. If it comes down to the blame game. Who can lebron blame? Well he can blame the superteam gsw. They are just too powerful.

Lebron can blame the GSW...but the GSW contributed 3 of his 6 losses while Russell contributed all losses for West & Baylor.  But one of those three the first loss was not a super team.  Majority of the starting 5 were draftees of the team (Curry, Thompson, Barnes, Green).

So i ask you, who can Bird of the celtics blame when they lost to the magic lakers? Bird was 3 time mvp, straight pa yan, and his team still lost to the lakers.

As for Bird, he won 3 of 5 finals appearances.  Pasok pa rin sa premise of greats winning more than half their finals appearances.
Now two of those losses were against the Lakers in which Kareem (85) and Magic (87) were responsible.

Wait aren't you now comparing eras?

Ah!  You're emphasizing rankings.  You are arguing a different matter.  First you argue if players are still considered all time greats even if they have numerous losses in the finals which I was not pointing out.  Then you are now arguing rankings which again I am not pointing out.

Again my point is all time greats usually win more than half of their finals appearances.... which you yourself proved.

You can actually post multiple sites placing Lebron's ranking.  Even those one's that place him number 1.  It doesn't really matter.  But most probably majority of those in the top 10 won more than half their finals appearances.

Akalain mo yan... si LBJ di nya napanalo kalahati ng finals apperance nya pero hes still considered one of greatest nba player of all time. :) :) even considered equal to jordan or greater than mj.
