OLED: LG vs Sony vs Philips vs Panasonic
« on: Aug 31, 2020 at 10:55 AM »
My seven year old LG OLED curved TV is already showing a couple of dead pixels. Experience has been excellent and not wanting to go away from OLED. Am scouting for my next OLED, looking at 55/65”.

Just wanted to hear experiences of those who bought OLED TVs from other brands. I understand LG supplies all the panels for them, but would like to hear about quality, reliability and customer support. Philips seems a good deal with Ambilight and B&W soundbar. Sony apparently has good video processing. Not heard anything yet on Panasonic.

Thanks in advance.

Yup, thanks for the advise. Backread it already, and no question about LG OLED as I myself have great experience having one for more than 7 years now. Wanted to get experience from those who bought other brand OLED TVs.

Yes, am very happy with its superior video and audio quality, plus have served me for many years already. That’s why my next one is another OLED again.

LG OLED TV 55EG910T curved, not yet 4K. Average of 10hrs a day more or less, mostly watching HD content. No sign of burn in even after 7+ years of use. Got it with bundled curved soundbar and wireless subwoofer from Ansons BGC. Picture and audio is as good as new, except for a couple of dead pixels which is not visible unless you look less than 1 foot away from screen.
