The last few minutes of the second season was so epic that so many people didn't get to see the post-credits scene. ;D

According to the Film & Television Industry Alliance, Lucasfilm is currently expecting to start production on the highly-anticipated third season of The Mandalorian on April 5, 2021, in Los Angeles. Lucasfilm Drops ‘Mandalorian’ Star Gina Carano Following Offensive Social-Media Posts

“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future,” a Lucasfilm spokesperson said in a statement. “Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

Carano shared several offensive posts on her Instagram stories Tuesday night, including one that compared likened contemporary political differences to the treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany.

Gina Carano should have known that in mainstream society (Disney no less), there's no place for conspiracy theories and historical revisionism.

At least she can always go back to MMA.

At least both sides are free to express their respective opinions.  Gina Carano for expressing hers. And Disney for expressing they want no part of her.

Here’s When 'The Mandalorian' Season 3 Is Filming; New Details on 'Book of Boba Fett' Connection

Star Wars fans are going to have to wait just a little bit longer for more adventures from The Mandalorian. Upcoming spinoff series The Book of Boba Fett has officially wrapped filming and is on schedule for a December premiere on Disney+, as was previously confirmed. The Mandalorian, which reintroduced Temuera Morrison's bounty hunter to the Star Wars franchise, revealed the new spinoff at the end of Season 2, and The Book of Boba Fett has been filming in Los Angeles on the same stage as the first series created by Jon Favreau for Disney+.

The Book of Boba Fett will be a more closely-linked spinoff as well and sources have told us to think of the series as "The Mandalorian Season 2.5," with characters from The Mandalorian slated to appear in the series that currently co-stars Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand.

However, Season 3 of The Mandalorian is not currently heading into production. That's because the LA stages are, for the moment, in use by the upcoming Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi limited series starring Ewan McGregor in his official return to the galaxy far, far away since Revenge of the Sith in 2005. The show is set 10 years after the events of that film and production on this series will reportedly take many months.

We hear the plan is for The Mandalorian Season 3 to begin filming at the end of this year, or in very early 2022. What that means is the season will not be premiering on Disney+ until late 2022.

The delay in The Mandalorian's filming timeline can also likely, in part, be attributed to actor Pedro Pascal's commitment to the TV adaptation The Last of Us, which is slated to start production in July this year.

Disney+ Will Air a Special Episode of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian Season 2

Shortly after The Mandalorian wrapped up its second season last December, Disney+ released a 70-minute making-of documentary under its Disney Gallery banner. However, the special conspicuously lacked any insight into how the filmmakers pulled off the season’s biggest reveal, which notably featured a digitally de-aged Mark Hamill reprising his role as Luke Skywalker in the action-packed finale. Now that fans have had seven whole months to catch up, the streamer is finally delving into this instantly iconic Star Wars moment. Next month, Disney+ will debut a bonus episode of Disney Gallery that focuses entirely on Luke’s surprising return.

Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian – Making of the Season 2 Finale will hit Disney+ on August 25.

Disney+’s The Mandalorian Season 3 Begins Production

Rocky vet Carl Weathers took to Twitter to confirm that production on the highly-anticipated third season of Disney+’s hit sci-fi prequel The Mandalorian has finally begun. Weathers will be reprising his role as Greef Karga and is also expected to direct another episode in the next season. The filming start was initially planned for April but was delayed because the stages in Los Angeles were still being used for the production of the Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which had only wrapped in September.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is currently slated to make its return sometime next year, following the debut of its first spin-off The Book of Boba Fett which is set to premiere on December 29, 2021.

During Star Wars Celebration 2022, it was announced that Season 3 of The Mandalorian will stream on Disney+ in February 2023.

Executive producer Jon Favreau also disclosed that Din Djarin will finally be headed to Mandalore, the home planet of the Mandalorians, in search for forgiveness. Favreau shared that fans should expect to see some familiar faces in the new season, with Carl Weathers and Katee Sackhoff returning to play Greef Karga and Bo-Katan Kryze, respectively.

Disney+ Celebrates ‘The Mandalorian’ Anniversary With New Grogu Animated Short

Disney+ is celebrating its third birthday by giving a present to fans of The Mandalorian.

The streaming service announced Friday that it will celebrate its own third anniversary and that of the Emmy-winning Star Wars series with the release of a new original short focused on Grogu, aka Baby Yoda, the show’s breakout character.

Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies, premiering today on Disney+, is a hand-drawn animated short hailing from Japanese animation studio Studio Ghibli. Katsuya Kondo directed the project, which features music from Ludwig Göransson.

The Mandalorian Season 3 to Feature Spider-Verse & Minari Directors

Following the recent The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer’s release, Lucasfilm has finally confirmed the directorial lineup for the highly-anticipated return of the hit Star Wars series. The eight new episodes will be directed by returning filmmakers Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, and Bryce Dallas Howard. They’ll be joined by award-winning directors Lee Isaac Chung (Minari) and Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), along with Black Panther cinematographer Rachel Morrison.

“The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu,” says the synopsis. “Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”
