Jar Jar Binks Actor Ahmed Best Makes Surprise ‘Star Wars’ Return as a Jedi in ‘The Mandalorian’

In a surprise cameo that nobody in a galaxy far, far away saw coming, Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best returned to the “Star Wars” universe in Wednesday’s episode of “The Mandalorian.” But instead of playing the infamous Gungan, Best made his return as a Jedi named Kelleran Beq.

In the newest episode, titled “The Foundling,” Best appears briefly in a flashback to Order 66, when the clone troopers betrayed the Jedi and ruthlessly murdered nearly everyone. Best’s Jedi knight Kelleran saves a young Grogu, who found himself alone facing a group of clone troopers. Kelleran saves the little alien and dispatches the enemies with his two lightsabers, allowing Grogu to escape with him on a ship. The episode ends without showing where Kelleran and Grogu fly off to, opening up the possibility of Best to reappear later on.

The last 2 episodes were the best for this season.

As the first few episodes dragged on, it was being clear this was no longer a spaghetti western but more conventional Star Wars fare. Good thing the season closed well.

It looks like the Mandalore arc is over and a new set of plot events are coming. They could actually choose to end this season if need be but it looks like more adventures are coming.

Type “Grogu” or “Baby Yoda” into the Google Search bar — and the diminutive creature appears in the lower right-hand section of the screen. When you click or tap on Grogu, he commences to use The Force… and knocks out the top section of the search results. If you keep clicking on him, he continues to dismantle the Google Search page.

Disney has officially announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray The Mandalorian: The Complete First Season and The Mandalorian: The Complete Second Season. The four releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on December 12, 2023.
