LG 55SK8000PPA

Lg 55SK8000PPA won’t turn on, no red standby light. Haaayyy nag update lang ako kanina tapos nag restart, nag hang yung tv, tapos nag shutdown and then wala ng power won’t turn on. 2-3 weeks pa lang ito.

Called LG na, after 2-3 working days daw pupuntahan. Badtrip sana hindi na pala ako nag software update. Sana covered ng warranty yang ganyang failure.

Sure covered yan....yun phone ko din nag update lang me ng Security update na official release nasira na at nag hung..Hindi nakuha sa software fix..and change the mainboard. No cost at all.

^ glad to hear na covered ng warranty at pinalitan nila main board ng walang additional charge, fee. Nangyayari pala talaga yan simpleng pag update lang tapos masisira na mga tv natin, phone.

Called Lg ulit regarding sa unit replacement, technician daw ang mag eendorse, sabihin ko na lang din daw sa technician. Thank you mga sir. Hirap ng walang tv hehe

I agree sir, ang dali nila kausap, hindi ka pahihirapan.  Sana palitan ng bagong unit itong tv hehe.

haha malabo yung palitan bagong tv sir. part lang yan 99% sure.

oo nga laam ko di talaga pwedeng palit unit yan. pasalamat ka nalang na i cover nila ang warranty.

kala ko nga pag software related na ikaw mismo ang gumalaw nakaka void ng warranty eh.

Update mga sir. Okay na ulit tv ko. Hindi daw puwede unit replacement,7 days lang daw yun. Inaabutan ko yung technician para sa pag repair ng tv ayaw kunin. Bawal ba sa kanila tumanggap?

Pinalitan yung board ng tv. First time ko masiraan ng tv, ng lg brand isa lang masasabi ko iba nga ang aftersales service nila. Sila pa tumawag, nag text kung puwede na daw puntahan i-service yung tv. Thanks sa tulong mga sir

tsaka mababait mga tao nila na nag-aayos ng tv. Ayaw nga nila tumanggap pera. Kaya pinapasnack ko na lang after mag-ayos. (twice na ako nasiraan ng tv part ng LG).

Thank you mga sir. Meron na pala mga dolby vision at atmos supported movies sa netflix kanina ko lang napansin hehe. Inaayos ko ngayon sa tv yung best settings para black is black daw kahit paano. Sabi kasi sa rtings. Com may may grey sa screen ibig sabihin daw mali yung settings. Watched outlaw king and meron siyang grey, sa baba ng screen. Yan yata yung ips glow na sinasabi nila? Dahil ips panel siya.


Yes ang bait nga, strict daw ang management sa kanila dapat daw hindi ulit tumatawag ang customer para mag follow up. Kaya pag sinabi daw na 2-3 days, sure daw talaga yun.
Sayang sana napagprepare ko din ng snack yung tech, hindi pala sila talaga tumatanggap ng cash.

Hello. Is this LG 55SK8000 a good TV? I passed by SM Appliance in Marikina earlier today & the sales lady was recommending this as the next best from the LG OLED models, taking into consideration good picture quality & reasonable price. If straight charge or cash, this comes out to around 48K. I'm not an expert in TVs, so wondering if this model is good or not, particularly for movie viewing. Any feedback would be great.

1 year palang TV? take a pic kpag lumabas ulet yung bright hairline.. and eech time na meron like every week take a pic.  hanggang kaya mo tiisin hehe

if I were you, warranty covered pa naman yan until near Oct2020 (2yr warranty, right?).. then timing ka nlang when to call LG for another warranty coverage =)  sana i-replace nila LCD panel naman =)

Take a pic when it shows.

Go to the nearest LG service or inform them while under waranty.

Could be the start of the panel problem.

covered pa yan sir kasi wala pa namang 2yrs. kaso everytime na repaired na yan hindi ka na matatahimik. lagi mo iisipin na anytime bibigay sya ulit kasi alam mong my repaired.unlike pag palit bago, paano nalang pag 2yrs and 1day bumigay ulit.?

Thanks sir, buti naman covered pala ng warranty. Tama ba sasabihin ko sir panel problem? Para pag pinuntahan magawa din agad parang nung first time na nasira. Ganun na nga sir sigurado yan after nitong 2nd problem, may kasunod pa yan hehe.

Kapag 2 yrs and 1 day sir nasira pa ulit, well kung mahal ang repair sir bibili na lang ako ng bago hehe. Try ko mag Qled, kakatakot kasi OLED may burn in hehe

yes, declare everything as you have observed when you call them.  while under warranty, they'll surely visit to check your unit for free =)

I've got LG TV's from way back 2007. the 1st LCD got no color (black & white only) on all inputs except HDMI source after its 6th year.  my 2nd one never got any issue and I was able to sell it after +3.5yrs and now I have the LG 55" 4K, it's going 3yrs almost -- wala pa naman din issue.   ;D

Sammy QLED also has good PQ but it's a bit more expensive.  and unfortunately starting 2019 models, they only offer 1year warranty.  are they assuring of a more rigid TV sets?  dunno with Samsung...

Gave them a ring na yesterday. Sabi sakin i-email ko daw yung pic. Follow up ko ulit later kung kailan nila iseservice itong tv.

Yes bro mas mahal nga QLED pero malaki din difference ng PQ niya compared sa mga 4K TV lang.  Thanks bro

Hindi pinuntahan tv ko hehe pero ok lang mukhang hindi naman pala damage yung hairline something sa bottom ng screen. Nangyayari lang siya sa display ng media box pag walang wifi connection, yung hairline something dahil lang hindi madisplay ng normal yung homescreen ng media box.

Anyway mga sir ask ko lang ulit thanks in advance, napansin ko lately when watching uhd movies sa mii box using kodi player nag rerestart yung tv. Sa tv ba issue? Sa soundbar? Or sa kodi,mii box? Thank you mga sir

kapg UHD file lang ba nangyayari sir? kapag 1080p no restarting? bka HDMI handshake issue yan =)

sa Mi Box na natry ko nuon (sa friend ko) sa LG UH8500 ko unang ginamit -- wala naman restart nangyayari sa TV ko.  we sampled many UHD movies then tried yung bitstream pass-through for ATMOS/DTS:X audio.  so napatunayan na kaya naman ng Mi Box gawin yun.

then inuwe na niya and connected with a non-smart Sammy TV.  when he's playing UHD movie files, downscale lang UHD quality to 1080p (eh ganun talaga) at wala naman siya nababanggit na nagre-restart TV neither the Mi Box.  meron din siya Pioneer AVR sa HT set-up niya

try these connection series kung hindi ganito connection mo:
  Mi Box -- HDMI cable -- TV -- optical cable -- soundbar
   or
  Mi Box -- HDMI cable -- Soundbar -- HDMI cable -- TV (kung 2 HDMI port with ARC ang soundbar)

ensure na TV HDMI IN sa ARC port din naka-plug

kung hindi sa connection series ang issue, do below:
1. de-install your Kodi and then re-install.  Leia v18.5 na yata ngayon
2. try to install SPMC too -- forked Kodi app ito pero minsan mas gusto ko pa nga ito gamitin kesa Kodi
3. configure both Kodi/SPMC after installing them into your Mi Box

test and re-test =)

kapag ganun pa rin, I think last resort is gumastos ka na for a better HDMI cable hehe

Thanks sir, ok naman connections and dati hindi naman nag rerestart eh, lately lang. Try ko yung mag uninstall at re-install ng kodi sir.

Hassle yung restart issue na yan, napansin ko din lagi disconnected sa net yung tv
