Let me re-phrase my earlier post ............ is anyone else super annoyed by Rachel Nichols ??

The b1tch is just so arrogant.

Parang ilang teams (contenders) lang ang may karapatan maglaro sa NBA.   8)

Sa laki siguro ng sahod ni Harden at Westbricks. Anliit ng lineup ng Rockets ngayun.

they probably decided to let go of Capela as they have no contention in the current season na din. now how they will rebuild a team that can be of contention with what budget is left is something that im curious of.

Money pit having both Harden and Westbrook sa team.

^ Beg to differ bro, the ROCKETS currently in 5th spot in the WEST ......... however, only 5 games separate the WEST's 2nd to 7th place teams.

The ROCKETS are in the thick of the WEST playoffs ........... no matter ones opinion on analytics, you have to admire to the ROCKETS for sticking with it.

If their analytics say that they can contend with going small ball, then so be it ............ in a recent interview, Mike D'Antoni said that opposing teams better pound them bad the inside first,  while they unleash their fast lineups.

Sometimes their style of play hurts the eyes, but it's the path they chose ......... moneyball, analytics.

Good luck with them in the WEST playoffs against AD, Gobert, Jokic, etc

^let's wait and see. Currently big man play has been making a comeback. Capela has been very vital in their line up doing the dirty work below the rim. Not sure who can fill his shoes in that area.

Looks like Iguodala is headed to Miami and has agreed to a two year $30M extension.

Assuming the trade pulls through and Iggy is healthy, then this is a good trade for the HEAT ............. I've watched a ton of HEAT games, Justice Winslow is easily the odd-man out for the HEAT right now.

With the rise of Duncan Robinson & nice rookies like Herro & Nunn, it's easy to pick Winslow as the next trade bait.

Winslow has been unable to improve his outside shot and is very erratic going to the hoop ........... though Winslow is still an above average defender & can play the point at times.

UPDATE:  Iggy's last year of his contract extension with the HEAT, it's a team-option ........... assuming Iggy is unhealthy by that time, HEAT can drop him by the 2021 offseason.

Just in time for the next batch of top FA's.

Like I said, if Iggy can play now and stay relatively healthy, this is a good deal for the HEAT.

Rockets went all-in on going VERY SMALL ball.  We can potentially see lineups from them where no player is above 6'7".

This could very well be the template that height-challenged teams (i.e. Asia) can follow.

I actually hope they go deep in the playoffs.  I don't seen them going past the second round, but if they reach as far as the conference finals, you can bet we will see lineups change all across the basketball world.

This could well be the next major Moneyball moment in US pro sports.

Miami trying to involve OKC in a three team trade so the Heat can also acquire Danilo Gallinari aside from Iguodala.

This could well be the next major Moneyball moment in US pro sports.

IMO it already happened.

D' Antoni's fast-paced, no traditional center, 3PT shots heavy offense with the SUNS, was the core offense that the DUBS employed for 5-straight NBA Finals winning 3 rings.

Steve Kerr was the SUNS GM when D'Antoni was there.

Along the way, the rest of the NBA took notice and look at the way the game is played now.

It's positionless basketball, fast paced, high scoring offense ............Traditional, back-to-the-basket big men are all but extinct.

Too bad that D' Antoni hasn't won a ring yet.

Trade deadline highlights. The Clips certainly improved their title chances, while the Timberwolves finally have a young dynamic duo to build on. Memphis is also beefing up for the postseason.

• Marcus Morris headed to Clippers
• Wolves deal Wiggins to Warriors for Russell
• Wolves get in on Heat-Grizzlies swap; Heat add Jae Crowder, Solomon Hill, Grizzlies get Justise Winslow, Dion Waiters & Gorgui Dieng, Wolves acquire James Johnson
• Cavs pick up Pistons' Drummond

** Andre Drummond basically traded away for a sack of potatoes. He'll probably opt-in this offseason ........... kaunti o wala na atang team ang may cap space this offseason.

Everyone is preparing for the next offseason, the summer of Giannis.

** Finally, Russell goes to the TWOLVES .......... KAT should probably shut up now and start winning some games.

Absolutely no more excuses for him.

** CLIPPERS just got more loaded with Morris Sr. ........... LAKERS obviously doesn't want to part with Kuzma.

Sa WEST playoffs magkakaalaman.

Reserves: Lillard, Simmons, Jokic, Tatum, Paul, Westbrook, Sabonis

Team Giannis

Starters: Giannis, Embiid, Siakam, Walker, Young
Reserves: Middleton, Adebayo, Gobert, Butler, Lowry, Ingram, Mitchell
We deserve better.

Medyo makakahinga na ng maluwag si Kuzma. Siguro naman gaganda na laro nya, nabawasan stress nya.  :)

Lalo lumakas Clippers.

So far the Rockets are able to keep it close with the Lakers though they are down by 3 with less than 5 mins left

ROCKETS leading by 110-108, 3 min left.

So far, I hardly saw a post-up from the LAKERS, given their massive size advantage against the ROCKETS.

Si Harden dino-double team ng Lakers, si Westbrook hindi. Ayun, kinain sila ng buo ni Westbrook.

Mahina coach nitong Lakers. Pinipilit nila sa loob, ang problema predictable na, huli madalas yung play.

Si Cook na lang sana i-partner kay LBJ imbes na si Rondo pag naglalaro.

Si Kuzma wala pa din.

2 wins na Rockets with PJ Tucker in Center position. Impressive win against powehouse Lakers. Tignan natin kung ma sustain nila.
Matamlay pa din si Kuzma. Mukhang masama loob wala sa mood maglaro.

Wala talaga yan si kuzma. Wala pang depensa. Kakaasar syang panoorin.. Nakafocus ata lakers sa pambubully sa ilalim. Nakalimutan nila mag depensa ng maayos

A very good clip on why somebody like Amin Elhassan (ex- executive SUNS) deserves to host an NBA analysis show.

One big reason the TWOLVES have been losing all this years (save the Jimmy Butler rental) is due to KAT's very poor defense .......... Amin's skeptical that things won't change much with the TWOLVES, since D' Russel himself doesn't play defense.

This same clip also show why someone like Rachel Nichols doesn't deserve to host.   8)
