Even with a first round exit, the Mavs have a very bright future ahead of them.  The trio of Doncic, Hardaway and Porzingis will wear the Mavs uniform for the next 2 to 3 years.  They have some flexibility in getting a key player or two (around 16M in expiring contracts) and with the return of Dwight Powell, their front court will be stronger.

Maybe Cuban has another trade in the works this off season.  Something like the Porzingis trade which is a blatant steal.

I’m all against racism pero sa NBA ngayon na dictated ng players masusunod talaga kung anong gusto nila. I don’t see the point na i-boycott yung games para sa nangyari kay Jacob Blake. Marami namang paraan para gawin nila yung fight against racism. Ang daming influential na players at pwede nilang gamitin yung iba’t-ibang channels to influence their fans, followers and their govt. Ako man, mayroong malakas (sometimes differing) na opinyon sa US race relations, oppression, etc ......... pero sadyang iba, kapag ikaw mismo ang nakakaramdam nang racism - kaya hindi ko masisisi o mapupuna ang NBA players (75% are black) sa ganitong protesta nila.

IMO in the short time that Adam Silver has been NBA Commish, he has shown that he's the best guy for the job.

How this Bubble-games were planned and staged is one proof of that innovative leadership.

I think both LA Teams voted to boycott the remainder of the season while 28 other teams voted to finish it. Its not clear yet if both LA Teams will exercise their decision not to play in the remaining games.  I think they want franchise owners to play a bigger part in the fight for injustice and for racial equality.

Medyo masamang pangitain para sa NBA yung boycott IMO. What if balikan sila ng owners at sila naman ang mag-decide na i-boycott ang NBA? Imagine kung ikaw ang owner at mga players anytime pwede mag-boycott ng buong season because of political views. Baka wala nang bumili ng franchise. And how about the fans who paid to watch the games? Yung ibang players naman din dyan nakikisama lang kasi superstars karamihan ang vocal about their opinion at wala silang choice. Yung ibang maliliit na players kailangan lang din namang magtrabaho.

I understand they’re making a statement to voice out their frustrations against the systemic racism in their country pero boycotting the game will not end it. Again, yung mga NBA superstars are the most influential people in the world. Bakit di nila gamitin yun to influence other people and their politicians?
