It's legit. I'm a member in their Viber group. No idea how much they give for the trade-in though. They also extended the trade-in that was originally supposed to expire last August.

SRP for the 696 is ₱46,000 while the 6100 is ₱55,000 (both are 210 w per channel @ 6 ohms).

The guy on Viber reminded me that these are SRP's and that there are discounts. Store credit, meanwhile, will depend on the condition of the receiver.

My defective onkyo 646 was appraised at 6,200 if I will get an onkyo 494 worth 31,000, The problem with my onkyo 646 is the NG:LCRSLSRBLRBR caused by a busted IC or capacitor which happened several times already...lagi worth 4k ang parts and repair cost sa TOYAMA kaya nagsawa na ko ipagawa...the appraisal cost will depend on what model you are interested with.

Just my humble experience since I bought, used and sold many brands of receivers through the years....Onkyo talaga has issues primarily sa HDMI board, Amplifier sections and DSP sections.  Almost always yang 3 areas na yan ang madaling bumigay.

Naka chamba ka lang siguro sa years when Onkyo had issues. I have an Onkyo 608 which never had any problems, I replaced it with an Onkyo 686 because of Atmos and this one also is free of any problems. You can Google the years of the Onkyo receivers that had problems.
