Topic: What Are Your Last Speakers?

I know there are some who consider the pleasure in buying and trying out new speakers as the end in itself. But for others like me who are more easily satisfied(and of more limited means  ), what speakers are you aiming for as a sort of last set?

For myself I'm eyeing a Linkwitz Lx521.

The KEF LS50 Wireless Active Speakers are the endgame for me. I've had them for about three years now and I've never felt the urge to upgrade since I'm still satisfied with the way they sound. When I got these actives, they were a night and day all around improvement compared to my previous separates setup which had the KEF LS50 passive speakers, HRT Musicstreamer III DAC, NAD C326BEE integrated amp, and SVS SB12-NSD subwoofer.

It's nice that it's DSP is tweakable via smartphone app so I can tailor the sound to my room and the speaker's desktop placement and proximity with the wall. Not to mention it has built-in subwoofer management settings in the app which I used to integrate the SVS SB12-NSD.



The only thing I wish mine had is Apple AirPlay which AFAIK, the newer production LS50W units along with the LSX have.

Meron siyang AUX in for LINE level sources like CD Players, TT Phono preamps, etc. I can attest na very transparent yung high-res ADC ng AUX input so analog sources will sound analog despite the conversion.

For digital inputs, meron Optical at USB.

For wireless inputs, meron wifi at bluetooth.

Meron din siyang RJ45 Ethernet port for wired networking pero di ko pa nasubukan ikabit sa router/switch ko.

I don't remember exactly the amount pero mga 80+K ang kuha ko sa akin. With discount na yun.

Yes. May sub out siya. Basically I leave the sub's X-over fully open para yung sub lowpass filter ng KEF LS50W na lang ang ginagamit ko. Para sa akin mas maganda ang timpla ng subs sa mains with this method.

im planning to replace my omega 2 after this pandemic, i like the smoothness-detailed sound of Ryan R610 bookshelf, i hope it will still be  50% off @ RAR 33 Audio by that time..
