Repairing a broken speaker
« on: Aug 09, 2020 at 11:02 PM »
I'm going to try to repair my laptop speakers. Napunit 'yung rubber. I saw in youtube he used flex seal to repair it, but I can't find one in lazada. Can anyone recommend what compound to use? May locally available liquid rubber ba na flexible pa rin kahit nag set na? And hopefully available sa hardware/lazada.

hindi ko ma-picture-an kasi binuo ko na ulit muna 'yung laptop.

similar to this part 'yung may crack, pero no missing parts so baka pwede pa ikabit ulit. let's say from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock 'yung crack nya.

you are better off replacing the entire surround with a new one made of rubber instead of partially fixing it. Speaker surround repair kits are easily available in either Lazada or Shopee. Rugby lang katapat nun as adhesive. Get the measurements right prior ordering the repair kit. Good luck

Sorry akala ko rubber surrounds. Foam surrounds pala.

Couldn't agree more, Ang lala na din naman talaga ng tama:

I don't think repairable pa yan via quick fix.

FYI The picture posted by the TS is NOT the speaker that needs to be repaired.

Since maliit lnng naman ang speakers ng laptop baka ma repair pa. I would use a thin coat of contact cement, since flexible siya. Test on a small first. That is what I did before sa speakers ko with cloth surrounds.
