^agree. i bet you Steve Nash will be relying on the experience, expertise and guidance of D'Antoni. parang passing the torch ito IMO.

He (D'Antoni) might have an "assistant coach" position but i am pretty sure he will be more than respected and have a huge say with coaching the team.

^ Assuming KD & Kyrie stay healthy (fully recovered in KD's case) most of the season, the NETS will be a contender in the EAST .....,,,.. who knows, maybe make it to the Finals.

The NETS have probably the deepest line-up in the EAST, they should try to retain Joe Harris though.

More details on the start of the new NBA season:

* Lifting of moratorium on player negotiations/transactions prior to the November 18 Draft
* Free agency to open after the draft, with training camp to start on December 1
* Condensed scheduled to be highlighted by baseball-style road trips (i.e., pairs of teams in the same division/conference playing consecutive games against each other to minimize travel)
* Season projected to end before the Olympics start in mid-July

The NBA is also aiming to have 25%-50% fan capacity in arenas, with health and safety protocols to be observed.

Because of international travel restrictions to control the pandemic, the Toronto Raptors may also have to relocate to a new arena in the US for their home games, with the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ as a possible option.

Load management for key players will likely be considered by teams which stayed a long time in the bubble like the Lakers and the Heat (or even the Nuggets and Celtics) - and will be tolerated by the NBA. Not sure though how the franchises can effectively manage having fans back in arenas even at 25% max capacity. The COVID situation in the US is far from being under control.

Heard in an earlier podcast that 72 games was the required minimum for the NBA to meet its contracts/obligations e.g. sponsors, networks, etc.

It's good for us fans, but we might see an in-balanced product the first half of the season - the time between free-agency and training camp is too short.

Hindi rin.  You still try to go for a better seeding.  Maybe walang home court advantage.  But you still want to be matched up with a weaker team than a stronger one.
