Great question. The best PG that they could have got in free agency was Rajon Rondo.  Eh ayaw daw ni Rondo sa mga kakampi na paminsan minsan eh day off.
Who is the best PG sa NBA ngayon?

Probably Damian Lillard ........... though nag-guard duties din sila Luka, Harden.

For me its Luka.  Year 2 and he regularly gets 30 point triple doubles...talk about being NBA ready.

^^^ barring any injuries to Porzingis and with the return of Dwight Powell from injury, the Mavs can go deep in this year's playoffs.  Luka is in a legit position to compete for the MVP award.

Luka is the best PG right now for me, insane passing abilities, shooting, clutch gene. Mabagal pero lupet dumiskarte. Could probably win MVP next season as long as he stays healthy.

Lillard? Highly skilled, but jacks up tons of long range shots. Also more of a scorer than a passer.

CP3 still a top point guard right now, Trae young, even Lebron plays elite at PG position.

Luka has yet to hit the/his wall ............ sobrang meteoric ang rise ni Luka, he's bound to somehow stagnate at some point.

The wall can be anything or a combination of opposing defenses catching up, the law-of-averages catching up & injuries. It can happen this season, maybe not.

Last season we saw games, wherein players were targeting Luka - trying to rough him up.

It's the rite of passage of all great players - si MJ mala-fraternity hazing ang dinaanan with the PISTONS, KNICKS, CELTICS before he went super-saiyan.

It was very wise and strategic for Donnie Nelson to surround Luka with defensive-minded, rough dudes - former HEAT players Josh Richardson & James Johnson fit the bill.

James Johnson has the respect of everyone in the NBA - no one will be stupid enough to tangle with him, being an MMA/Boxing expert.

The bias is so unreal with some people in this forum. Oh well, ganun talaga.

Let's see, Harden rankings in the league 2019 to 2020 season lang ito for a guard yan.

1. no. 1 Scorer in the league
2. No 1 in steals in the league
3. No. 1 in blocks for a guard in the league
4. Top ten in assists in the league.
5. 4th in guards in the league sa rebounds behind luka, simmons and westbrook.
6. Double teamed all the time, kahit sa half court.

Cheers

Some of the new NBA City Edition/Alternate uniforms for the 2020-21 season. Once again, the Miami Heat have the best unis IMO.

To be fair to Harden, he's give the full green light by his coach, his GM and teammates to play his iso-ball ........... ayun ang strength niya eh, with basis on analytics, championed by Morey.

Also, statistically it works for his team as they make the playoffs consistently ........... however, going to the Finals & winning it all, is a different matter.

Bihira na ang mga tulad ni Kidd na elite, instinctive passers ......... Lebron is his equal though - unnatural din ang passing ability ni Lebron.

Lebron always seem to know where his teammates are.

Mas may flair lang talaga si Kidd being a natural PG.

Yes.

Anyway, That line of thinking of harden being a ball hog is just plain stupid. Other players even said  if they do isoball, they cant put up figures harden is putting up. So many nba players already complemented on harden's game. Take a look at the stats of the all the players in nba history in basketball reference website, and take the field goal attempts. Some players even take the same or more shots than harden, namely Jordan, Iverson, Kobe and a lot more.. Harden even led the league one time in assists as a rocket at 11.2 per game. Like what i posted above, he is a leading scorer, above 30 a game and averages 6 to 7 rebounds, 7 to 8 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.9 blocks a game. I mean if one can't complement on those stats, then wala na ako masabi.

Guess its not ok to say the line of thinking of Harden being a ballhog is PLAIN STUPID. People would have a different appreciation of how a player plays. It is what it is.

Medyo blurred yata on the definition of a PG.    Because Luka is strictly not a PG as well.  He is a facilitator. When Trey Burke who is a PG himself enters the game, Luka is still the one who  initiates the play.  Just like LeBron.  He is not a PG with KCP and Green on the floor. But he's the one who sets up the offense.

For the MJ's Bulls, is Pippen the PG even with Paxson and BJ Armstrong on the floor?

So LeBron signs an $85M contract extension that runs until 2023. Does it mean they can't sign Giannis anymore?  That would probably be $40M on the first year.

Lakers' LeBron James agrees to two-year, $85 million max contract extension, locked up through 2023

Well yeah not a natural PG, like luka and lebron.

But Harden is far from a PG or facilitator. Thats why di sya na bring up sa usapan.

Didn't Harden lead the league in assist in 2017 with about 11apg?  Last 4 years he averaged about 8.8apg per basketball reference.  Luka is averaging 7.3apg as a Mav and 8.8apg in 2019-2020..... Harden's average the last 4 years.

Harden is averaging 7.7apg as a Rocket higher than Luka's 7.3apg as a Mav. Harden is far from a facilitator?
