Re Simmons’ suspension, what a way to start the new season for the 76ers. Based on reports, Simmons refused several times to participate in drills after being asked by Doc Rivers. Rivers just told him to go home. Simmons also hasn’t reportedly talked to Joel Embiid since returning to training camp.

Woj says this is all part of an act to force a trade, which seems inevitable. What a headache for the Sixers.

But Lebron and AD is looking very good, very sharp. Hanep din si Lebron sa game na to and to think that he is almost 37yrs old yet still at the peak of Basketball. He takes care of his body with rigid training even off season. Whilst karamihan ng nba stars nasa lakwatsahan and lifestyle galore.

True. With Westbrook’s bricks, he surely can build a building made of bricks. I, for one, have been a Lakers fan since the Showtime era BUT I feel the Westbrook acquisition is all-hype. I’d rather have a Lillard. That was a big risk letting go of Kuzma, KCP and Trez. 0-7 from pre-season is alarming

Buddy Hield would have been a better fit.  The trade was essentially the same.  Kuz, Pope and Harrel for Buddy Hield.  Wala pa silang ego na dapat i-manage.

Hield is a true 40% career 3pt shooter. 85% FT, 3.6 assists and with a  47% overall shooting efficiency for 17ppg/game.  He is only 28 years old.  He would have had a great learning experience from Rondo and LBJ.   

The Melo acquisition was spot on. he will deliver what they need from him which is scoring punch coming from the 2nd unit (which Kuz failed on a consistent basis).

Unfortunately GM LeBron recruited Westbrook. Not Buddy Hield. And management went with that.

Yup. The onus definitely is on them to make this work.   Too early in the season to judge the outcome.  Maybe by the All Star break we will have a bigger sample size to see if the fit does work or not.   Kasama din kasi sa decision making nila yung star power that Westbrook brings.  Star power and the promise of winning is the one that makes people fork out as much as USD250K for regular season tickets for Laker games.  Much more expensive for courtside seats.  Currently its a 6 year wait for one to apply for season tickets.

Mills is not a superstar but has done very well sa first game nya sa Nets. Ang layo sa performance ni WB pero isang laro pa lang naman so baka in the coming games mag bago pa.

Agree. Could be a “long-term” plan as well rather than the win now scenario. I will still be a Lakers fan but I cannot seem to appreciate the style of Brodie since OKC days. Bwakaw pero inefficient
