AD, generational talent at his prime.  so i would keep him. Lebron naman, as much as I hate him, at this stage if his career, his value is more off the court for Lakers.  I think ang issues ng Lakers now is due to the fact na pinabayaan nila si Lebron to dictate/influence player signings and movement.

Palagi ko nababasa yung LBJ being the GM too, pardon my ignorance factual ba talaga na he can really dictate kung sino ang makakasama nya?

Bro he can be at times but for last year and this year's season, his performance and desire noticeably dipped.  He doesn't even demand the ball even if a 6'3 player guards him in the paint.  He can dominate anybody in the NBA not named Giannis but oftentimes he just decides to play passively.

3 years ago when he was traded to LA by the Pelicans, he scored 50 when he finally faced his former team that season.  The offensive and defensive arsenal  was in full display. Lobs, 3 point shots, midrange shots, low post moves, crossover and blow by layups, demoralizing blocks, rebounding.... you name it.  That AD is long gone by now.

LBJ has passed Kareem na pala as the all time leading scorer (reg season + playoff). And mukhang he can still score 1000++ more the way he is playing.

People are wired differently. We have the likes of a Kobe and MJ who are just thirsty for a championship every year.  They played to win it all every single year.  Perhaps AD is different. When he won the championship, he was then awarded a 189M 5 year guaranteed contract.  That can screw up the priorities of a young man instantly.

You need to build  the team around his strengths in order to maximize the opportunity that he presents while playing for your team.  Historically, the teams he wound up winning with surrounded him with an All Star Player or two (Wade, Bosh, Love, Irving, AD), reliable and dead eye shooters (the list is long but here it goes: Miller, Jones, Allen, Pope, JR Smith etc) and mobile bigs (Bosh, AD).

It is 100% factual that he had a hand in trades, drafts and buyout decisions for CLE and LAL. He has that clout due in part of his body of work.  Hindi sya umubra kay Pat Riley when he played for MIA.  Nobody dictates the Godfather what to do for his team.

By the way mas may edad ba sya kay KD? Mukhang si KD nagiging injury prone na din. Mahirap na ata masundan yung tibay ni LBJ.  Sya lang ata ang nakakapag laro  at that level sa ganyang edad. I doubt if Harden and KD can still be that good pag dating ng 36 or kahit si Giannis?

If you ask me...its a big NO.  You award contracts for what you perceive that they will bring to your team in the next few years and not for what they have done in the past.  If its a Luka Doncic or a Giannis then by all means.  Those kids have a bright future ahead of them. They have the skill and at the right age at that (Luka is so advanced. He isn't supposed to be this good on his 4th year in the NBA).   

Now for Harden, if championships doesn't happen in Philly within that window of time then you have a player who earns 60M/year in your roster that is aged 36...37.  Who in their right mind will trade for that kind of player unless he is somewhat beyond the norm like LBJ in terms of taking care of his body and performing at an advanced age,

I always thought Kareem's scoring record could never be broken even Karl Malone was on sight for it, but never got it. but hats off to "not my idol" LBJ for accomplishing the feat in as much as 200 games earlier than the Sky-Hook king.

Luka is a special talent. He just riddled the Clippers with 96 points, 24 rebounds and 14 assists total in the two games he played against them.  The Clips defense centered on stopping him primarily and yet he still produced those type of numbers.

They just swapped headaches.  Simmons isn't physically ready having been out of pro level basketball for the last 8 months.  You can bet that he hasn't been working on his jumpshot during his downtime.  On the other hand, James Harden is probably rehabbing his hamstring in one of those strip joints in Philly.

Meanwhile part time NBA player Kyrie Irving is getting ready for their next road game where he is eligible to play.  Kevin Durant probably didn't envision all this drama when he signed with the Nets,

Steve Nash probably would just want to quit the NBA to coach a High School team instead.

They would want to move on from Kyrie instead.  Player option sya next year and after that he a free agent, They can flip him for assets next season and they can use those assets to build around  Simmons and KD.

manu played on different era, hindi pa mabigat ang scouting sa europe nung late 90s, he came to the NBA 3 years after he was drafted at 25 years old and was not the face of the franchise pero lethal  naman coming off the bench

Manu led the Argentinian team to Olympic championship, beating USA team with  Duncan, Kobe, LBJ, Melo, Iverson ..... I don't think Luka can do the same now, he can pad his stats like what players frequently do now, but winning is a different thing
