If they win today over the Nuggets, the Phoenix Suns will not only bag the first seed in the West, but the top overall seed in the NBA Playoffs with still a couple of weeks left in the regular season. Denver is also trying to solidify its playoff spot - battling for 6th in the West against the Timberwolves to avoid having to compete in the play-in games.

Meanwhile, the top seed in the East is still in play for Miami, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Boston. Too close to call at this point. Getting the 1st or 2nd seed in the East might have some complications though - a potential first round matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. It would be great if the Sixers and the Nets somehow end up facing each other in the playoffs, especially in the first round.

parang playoff game bukas ... LAL vs NOLA ... 9 vs 10 ... ang matalo baka abutan ng Spurs, just 1 game away and with the easiest assignment among the 3 ... LAL have the 2nd toughest remaining games in the NBA, mukhang kailangan ng puro 50 points ni LBJ for them to stay in top 10

9 NOP (32-43, 7 games left) - @POR, @LAL, @LAC, @SAC, POR, @MEM, GSW
10 LAL (31-43, 8 games left) - @DAL, @UTA, NOP, DEN, @PHX, @GSW, OKC, @DEN
11 SAS (30-44, 8 games left) - @HOU, MEM, POR, POR, @DEN, @MIN, GSW, @DAL

NOP and SAS have the easier schedule. Not looking good for the Lakers, even if AD comes back this week.

H2H records: NOP 2, LAL 0; LAL 2, SAS 2; SAS 3, NOP 1. The Lakers do not have the tiebreaker against the Spurs, who have the better conference record.

the only positive note about the Lakers is that Spurs can opt to tank to get a lottery pick ... obviously the Spurs players are not being told to tank, but their management is frequently resting key players, just their last game against NOLA, they have one starter and their 6th man rested, but still beat NOLA

Mavs beat the Jazz (no Gobert, no Bogdanovic) to take solo 4th spot in the WC. They have a chance to catch the sputtering Warriors for 3rd with their easy remaining schedule to set a playoff round against the Nuggets. I'd rather they play Denver than Utah. .

Setting aside whatever issues Ben have kung makapag laro si Ben and play the way he did bago yung kontrobersya,what will be the chances of the Nets going to at least the East championship?

They rank 22nd out of 30 in defense. Yan ang malaking issue nila sa post season. Nope...Kyrie isn't the answer to that glaring issue. Ben Simmons will be a huge help to improve that weakness but he might not even play this year due to a lower back issue.

The two top seeded teams to win it all this year are currently #9 (Nets) and #10 (Lakers) in their respective conference. Both teams ang issue eh defense.
