^^^ sa tingin ko they are 1 or 2 pieces away. They don't need superstar signings. Just solid complimentary players that are consistent,  They need a mobile defensive big and a consistent 6th man scorer.

We have to remember that they have Tim Hardaway Jr. who is on the injured list. He averaged 16.6ppg prior to his injury.  They got Dinwiddie because they needed to replace that vital position.  Hindi uubra sa Boston, Milwaukee yung mga likes ni Kleber, Powell etc

Mavs need a big.  Si Looney nga lang di kinaya ni Powell at Kleber.  They should get Ayton or even better - Gobert.  Mahilig naman sa Euro player si Cuban.

The problem with teams playing the warriors, they tend to keep shooting 3s. You can't do that. That is what makes suns so effective when cp3 takes over taking mid range.

You just can't outshoot the warriors. Also warriors was scoring inside with ease. Dallas should have post up luka more to stop the rally sa 3rd.

it’s really hard to outshoot the warriors. mavs are 21/45 from 3’s and yet they still lose. luka mentioned on the post conference, they really need to play defense.

They have to consider na other teams are improving too like MEM, NOP, CHA etc. And other teams that are great if not for injuries and covid like LAL, LAC, DEN. I think they need to build team chemistry on both ends rather that add good players.

GSW has 33 assists in the game but no one player has more than 5 assist. It says something about their play making skills and IQ.

One thing is for sure....Doncic is unstoppable and his window of productivity is at least 10 years barring any injuries.  Even if they lose this series...DAL front office needs to do their work and surround him with the help that he needs.  They shouldn't waste his most productive years.

That would be a home run for Dallas.  PHO is in the same conference so they will inherently become weaker and DAL will become stronger with Ayton. The challenge there would be the asking price of Ayton and he should also express that he doesnt want to come back and play for Monty and PHO.

Actually what they need is a defensive minded big who can set solid screens, rebound, has a decent midrange shot and can score through lobs and alley oops. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

They need to maintain the core. Brunson, Hardaway, Bullock, DFS.  Dinwiddie they can let go. Too streaky and questionable defense. Luka has to develop his defensive skills as well. Halos kumpleto na sya sa offensive skills.  Wala ka na hahanapin pa eh. Low post, midrange, long bomb, rebounds, assists.... You name it he has it though he still has a long way to go in becoming a two way player.

Porzingis failed sa Mavs. I doubt if Ayton would fare much better. Although ibang iba laro nila, so who knows.

Luka is really becoming like Larry Legend. Sana meron din siyang Magic na maging storied rivalry.

Porzingris is really a good talented player, but aside from injuries, there has been a lot of rumors that he is hard to get along ... not a good teamate

Couldn't agree more. Both Porzingis and Ayton are flukes. Knicks were lucky to have released Porzingis. The Suns would be equally lucky if they can release Ayton

Not good and will never be. His "career" is done.

Butler out for the rest of the game with a knee injury. Unfortunate for Miami, but big break for the Celtics.

EDIT: Now it’s Smart who’s down with what looks like a foot injury. Back on the floor.

A good game for Porzingis is if he hits his 3's.  The Mavs don't need him for that as they have a lot of shooters.  They needed Porzingis to be a force in the paint on both sides of the court and KP just couldn't do that - he is easily out-hustled by smaller guys and out-muscled by bigger guys.  Ayton doesn't shoot 3's and is mcuh more effective in the paint than KP.

Ganyan din katawan ni KD dati when he was drafted.  Scouts were saying that he needs to bulk up.  Well they were wrong.  He averaged 20ppg in his rookie season. on his 3rd year he averaged 30ppg for his first of four scoring leader/champion for the season.

^^ Yes. every year there are surprises and busts. Some live up to the expectations and prove the doubters wrong while some fail miserably. Case in point,  if we had the 2018 draft today, I am 1000% sure that Luka Doncic will be drafted #1 and not Ayton.  Marvin Bagley (#2 in the 2018 draft)  will be drafted at #12 and up.

In the rare case wherein rooks are drafted by winning teams,  they are seldom given the chance to immediately have playing time because rotations are already established and the rook needs to work his ass off in practice to get playing time.  Sometimes this situation is bad for the rookie. 2 to 3 years may pass by without getting much exposure and in turn, this hurts the value of the player come extension time.  The upside of this situation would mean that the rook will be exposed to a winning environment and learn from the vets.

More often than not, losing teams get to have a higher seed. Those are the destinations that rookie players get a lot of playing time and they are expected to immediately contribute to turn around the fortunes of the organization.
