It will be hard to ignore the stats though. Although Game 5 is an off-night by Curry's standard, he actually have contributed other ways.

Wiggins have a shot at finals MVP depending on how he plays next, but the real MVP of the team is Curry ... even if he is 0 of 9 in 3-pt. shooting, he still gets double-teamed most of the time ... this is what was not factored-in when Iguodala and KD became finals MVP, they got the awards because the defense was not focus on them - see what happened to KD now that he's only with Kyrie

they did not even play Wiseman this year, and they have young guns who played in the regular season that are now benched in the finals who are good prospects ... what's good with a team laden with stars, they also attract other stars - previously they got KD, now si LBJ gusto na lumipat sa kanila    ... kidding aside, they'll attract good prospects - old stars wanting to win and young stars wanting to get a good opportunity

^^^ They need to develop the young guns.  Wiggins is still young (27).  He can lead the next core. Poole aint a Curry nor Klay yet but he has the potential to be a potent scorer.  Kuminga is still very raw. He needs playing time.  Wiseman as well...playing time ang kailangan to sharpen the kid.

Steph is 34, Klay is 32 and Draymond is 32.  Barring any injury, their window of competing is give or take 2-3 years. They can usher in the changing of the guard within that 2-3 years.

imho as long as gsw trio+wiggins+poole/looney are healthy they will always be a contender.

main problem for gsw is the salary cap, once the contract of wiggins expires.

Its not just Wiggins. If the young ones do not get the playing time that they desire they may move to a team that can give them the contract and the playing time.  Sample na lang si Poole. He is on his final year of his contact next year. He is earning 4M/year and that is being way underpaid for what he can do.  If a team dangles a max contract and the Warriors couldn't match it then its goodbye. The Warriors currently have the biggest payroll in the NBA and pays the most in terms of luxury tax.   Good luck in re-signing both Wiggins and Poole to max contracts.  Wiggins wont take a discount. He has been a max guy ever since his MIN days.  He is in his prime.

These young guys are so lucky that they are on the cusp of winning an NBA championship. IF they win a ring this year eh pwede mag iba ang gugustuhin na ng mga yan for their career. Bigger contracts and being featured as a starter can be next on their bucket list.
