any news on a domestic release? or is it already here? I LOVE THAT MOVIE. It IS seriously one of the best movies of all time.

Seeing as My wife is a gangster(another korean movie that's not a horror flick) has been domestically released in theaters, I have a strong feeling that it will too, well before it gets here on DVD anyway. That would be so awesome, I'd probably get all the people I know to see it.

Can someone please differentiate between the Hong Kong and Korean releases? And perhaps give their opinion on which one is better? Thanks

If you are going to watch a Korean movie, better get the Korean version. IMO, usually it is the "best" version since it came from the country of origin. The Director's Cut is very good. The picture quality is very good. The fonts of the subtitles is very good. I haven't seen a typographical error. If there's one, I can't remember it.

But with the debut of the VCD version of the Tagalog/Filipino-dubbed "My Sassy Girl", a local DVD version might be available soon. I'm hoping that the DVD quality will be a good.

is he asking for the difference between hk and korean film release? or is it the dvd release? i agree with your comment regarding owning a dvd from the country of origin, but only if its a korean movie since korea is very good in producing their dvds. if its from japan, not feasible for me since its too expensive. wait, OT na    for MSG, as cel-shaded said, get the Dir Cut korean release. that's the bottomline    then double-dip on its hd-dvd version in the near future

HD-DVD version? Possible.

Blu-Ray version? Possible. Most probably this version is in Region 1, since there are only 3 regions for the Blu-Ray discs. US, Japan, and Korea are on the same region now.

actually, i saw a vcd release of the tagalog version... nakakainis kasi it's from C Interactive. grabe yung quality, mas grabe pa sa b**tleg. sana man lang viva or others like magnavision man lang released it. no offense, pero kasi naman yung release ng C interactive mostly sobrang low quality... sayang they didn't do justice on the film. :'(

i remember nde rin nag-click ung movie sa atin, so the dvd treatment wasnt prioritized siguro. i'll just suggest the korean release (which you already did  ). and why go for a tagalized version di ba? its better to hear jjh's own voice

hehe oo nga hindi nag-click dito kasi naman almost 4 years na bago na-release dito sa'tin and sobrang poor advertising... i remember yung theatrical trailer ay parang poorly-made music video ni jimmy bondoc. parang si j.bondoc yung na-promote, hindi yung film (nagmuka tuloy super-baduy to the max yung film ). hehe. kung meron sanang matinong local dvd release nito, ok rin kung meron korean and tagalog audio tracks para naman.. wala lang hehe,
