1, They don't know if Simmons will be 100% mentally and physically. He just had back surgery. Mentally you don't know till he shows that he can rise above the pressure
2. If they don't trade KD, they cant play him heavy minutes for fear of injury thereby tanking his trade value (kinda like AD during his own hostage situation). There are no takers for now
3. Kyrie is a wildcard...you never know if he wants to play or is AWOL because he wants to fight for the rights of cows tomorrow.
